It's also my first 5 stars rating, and it's well deserved. Congratulations, you've been awesome!
Quests of collecting plants to get souls is nice, but I feel like everything grows too fast. There is no point using all the fields. I would like to spend more time on growing and organizing my plants. Maybe start with some souls to get initial defense setup and face one wave while cash crops grow. Also would be cool if enemies attacked the plants first!
Control mechanism and attacking feel a bit clumsy. Seeing the requests on the door disappear if you accidentally click forward to attack. I'd rather have attack on separate key so I don't accidentally attack my own towers.
Nice work keep it up!

its a bit tough at the start but once you know what you are doing becomes simpler. Really nice job
Would appreciate if you gave mine a go! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/left-for-bait
I personally would have preferred, if the movement wasn't tile based and maybe the attack key would have been separate from moving.
Maybe having the crop grow slower would have also put more weight on the farming aspect.
Overall great game though, with an impressive feature set. I really enjoyed playing it, I think I'll go play another round now :D
I’d love for you to review my submission as well.

Apart from that, very impressive!
I played the web version and I had no problems!
Great name, resembles Harvest moon (On purpose, I assume)
I really liked it! Added to favorites.
Great work and amazing sounds/graphics!
It was a bit difficult to start playing, as I needed a couple tries to get going.
Very nice pixel-art and audio!
I really enjoyed playing this, really had me addicted for a while!
One huge annoyance (for me) though, was having to spam the space key constantly. It would have been much nicer if you could just hold down the button and it would trigger the button press a couple times a second or so.
I managed to get to wave 39 before my tab crashed.
Not only did the tab crash, but also did my _audio drivers_. I wasn't able to produce any sound at all after the crash, had to reset my machine (probably could have just restarted the drivers). I'm using an out-dated version of Firefox.
In case you're thinking of making a post-event version, you should probably look into limiting the amount of sounds being played at once.
Overall, had a really great time playing! Awesome entry! :)
I find that when it came to the delivery of the souls, the place where you had to stand to deliver them was kind of picky. Like, the place where you actually deliver them is a step before the door, where it's very easy to walk all the way to. As a result, there's quite a bit of frustration when it comes to rushing to get your souls, but then walking too far that you go up to the door and moving frantically back and forth until you get that popup to deliver the souls.
I also think the health should reset for when you attack your own towers. It's very easy to do so on accident, and I feel like over time, the player will end up taking away their own towers when they don't intend to.
Aside from that, I definitely had a lot of fun with this game. The farming and tower defense aspects are both pretty evident in this, and they work well together. I love the creepy mood and ambiance of the music. The design of "you" aka the player was also very well done. It's a bit weird looking at the horizontal lines in the game - they seem a tad out of place and detract from the atmosphere, but I do understand that it does help to align the elements more easier. I wonder if there's, perhaps a way to make them feel more part of the aesthetic, though.
If you continue development, may be you could add some automatic harvest mechanics, more enemys, (and a little tutorial for the first game, i had to try again 3 times to understand what i had to do).
Well done!
If you like farming games, you can check out our farming shooter if you like (https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/ld41-1)
Whenever the Doom tower is here, it seems that no wave can beat them anymore! ahah Now at wave 33, I am just pressing "Start it now" :v:
Really well done!
I found an exploit where if you have a fence and build a tower below it. You can kill the tower by attacking the fence. This removes the tower but it keeps shooting, so I can build another and stack towers.
The beginning is relatively hard to set up quickly enough, but once you have a path and a few fire towers you can farm to doom pretty easily. So it feels like there's a lot of damage/parameter and difficulty curve tweaking to be done, which is important for TDs imo.
I have like 3 doom and 5 fire towers stacked here and stopped playing because it started lagging. At this point you can farm for more DPS way faster than the wave scaling and never die. (The farming part gets tedious by then too, harvest sprites where?)

It remembered me good old warcraft's wintermaul ;).
Nice work !
Congratulations :).
The graphics are amazing, and the sound effects and music suits perfectly your theme.
I think my only complain is that attacking your own structures should not be a thing. If your goal was to allow players to make space, a button near the tower that you have to click would have done a better job.
I ended up destroying one of my most expensive tower because I wanted to clear a bush (or plant, don't know exactly what it is ^^) on the map.
That's still a great game, I'm impressed of what you did there 😄
I have NEVER played Harvest Moon, and I will most CERTAINLY suck at such a game if it's both a Tower Defense game, and "pretty hard," and that's coming from the person who MADE the game (alongside @brendan-toy who did the art and music)
But, anyways, the game! I might not have played the game for very long, but here are my opinions:
I think that the graphics and music are great! But, as much as I hate to say it, that's the only thing I like about the game.
I honestly found it a bit strange to just hit something as soon as you walk into it. Which made things silly when I kept attacking my own home while going up to it. And the time limit is VERY restricting considering how they start in literally SECONDS! I feel like it should've been longer than 40 seconds max. Also (and this won't be the last time it happens) the amount of things you seemingly need to remember in the introduction made the game intimidating before it even started!
I apologize again, for this negative (and long!) review. I know that is to be expected of feedback, but still. Also, I stopped playing it after 5 minutes, thanks to me being intimidated by the mix of genres I'm not familiar with. But, in the end, nice game!
Really loved your game.
but yes we are aware of the issues :) thanks for playing though! :) :D
in future updates we hope to fix a lot of issues :P but for the sake of the jam thats where we got to in 72 hours. :) thanks for playing!
I hope you continue with the project.

Edit: I played through again and didn't run into the issue I had the first time - no idea why it didn't register some of the vegetables that time. This is a great game! I like the music and I noticed a bit more of the details in the art. I'd keep playing, but I gotta rate other games to try to get more attention to mine!
Edit: I also ran into a bug where my inventory said I had 22 tomatoes, but the turn in screen said I only had 2 and wouldn't let me turn it in. Expected in a game jam game, still absolutely solid. Loved it.
I loved the mix of farming and tower defence, and it played incredibly well :yum:
Probably the only nitpick I have would walking into my towers damaged them, I kept unintentionally doing this throughout my playthrough, probably a delete tool would be better suited for the task or an option to turn it on or off.
Other than that, great game - really enjoyed it
