This, my friend, was SO MUCH FUN! Original and enjoyable gameplay. First I was like, this is too easy, but when snakes and spikes came in, I was like "NOPE!". This is one of those games, I'll save for later because I definitely wanna play it again :)

This is brilliant! Very innovative, and cool game. It was easy at the beginning, but once "mastered" it's really fun to play. Thank you for building your game!

Very cool concept, seemed easy on the first level but then quickly started becoming trickier and required more strategy. Well done!

This is a very interesting combination! I'd definitely play a full release of this.

Especially if there's 2P coop, where one controls the hero, and the other controls the Dungeon maker.

dope game, super addictive. Respawn points are a bit janky but understandable with the time constrain.

Great job.

So much fun though a bit frustrating at some points this is one of my favorite games this ludum dare. The only thing I might change is when a snake kills you it should disappear or go away, or die or something. The snake trapped me in a corner a couple of times and killed me over and over which can be a bit frustrating. But besides that great game there was one point on the fifth or so level where there were three snakes left I slayed them one by one, and was running toward the exit, but right before I got there the last block landed as the game over screen appeared. It was awesome. I'd love it if you'd play my game. If you're feeling up to it heres the link: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/yum-some

Well, this game demands practice

I mean at some points you have focus on Building the map, Moving in the map and Being aware of the lethal objects.

It's a nicely put together, well polished game. For 48 hours I am amazed by this. Simple to implement but also good mechanics saved you a lot of time and it could be polished well.

I would gladly see a future version with inventory management and character development between the levels

Wow this game is great! It is an interesting concept and once the spikes and enemies come into play it pushes it up from a novel idea to a well-rounded experience.

I am in love with the idea! Perfect theme interpretation! Also, great job with the graphics and sounds in COMPO, they really do look very nice!

The gameplay sadly is not very flexed out as it is. You just build up, while defending yourself, and then climb up. In every single level. It gets extremely repetitive and the idea is just not very well used and juiced.

I really like it as a proof of concept, not so much as an actual game.

Amazing game! Had really good time playing it. Awesome idea! I wish it was separate controls with more obstacles inside the cells. Maybe even show the obstacles as a piece is falling down.

Nice idea, we used Tetris too and this aproach is simply a mind blow. I think that individual controls for the character and the tetrominoes would been better, but this way you have to be very clever moving the character.

Nice job!

That's a pretty nice game!
What's amazing is that theme-wise, they are indeed incompatible genres yeeeet it spawns an interesting game anyway!

Very clever concept, especially since the same keys move both the bricks and the hero ! I couldn't find out how to predict when snakes and pikes appear though...

i really like the concept (pretty close to my own entry, i hope you'll like it as well ;-) ).

At start I thought mixing controls was not a good idea but when spikes arrives it make sens and it becomes very challengin to move piece and watch out where the character goes :-)

Overall game is pleasant, music fits well with the graphics, nice job !

Fun game with a very nice twist to tetris. I'm not very good at placing the bricks but I had fun playing around with all the mechanics which worked very well.

I had an issue though when I cleared the first line of bricks, the game stopped. No more bricks appeared and the hero disappeared. Maybe it's a bug with the web version of the game?

Cool game and well balanced!

This is probably the best interpretation of the theme I've seen. Fantastic idea! Dungeon Keeper versus Tetris.

I know it's part of the charm, but I think decoupling the block controls from the hero controls would retain the challenge but make it a little less likely to lose due to the stack getting too high while you're desperately trying to manoeuvre around a mob.

This is a great, unique idea and oddly addictive. I felt I did not really understand what made the snakes and spikes spawn, however, and sometimse I would repeatedly die for no apparent reason.

I think if made into a bigger game, it would be more fun if the player character did not run around while moving the Tetris pieces -- maybe a control mode toggle button could be used.

Pretty repetitive but still a good game. I think there is more to do with this idea of building a dungeon while playing tetris =)

Overall, great addition to LD. Game has cool music and feel to it. Sometimes, enemimes appear out of nowhere when the blocks fall to the ground. If the enemies appear inside the block whilst falling down, it would be easier to plan.

I do like having the same controls to control the player and the blocks... But It seemed like the enemies follow you no matter where you are. This makes multi-tasking a little challenging, which may be good for some.

Maybe make the AI move in a set pattern or change the controls ... or maybe have an options menu to set this - like easy, med anf hard mode.

This is all constructive feedback and doesn't take away from what is a brilliant game

Haahahaha we thought of the same idea! Although reversed! You embed Zelda into Tetris, I put Tetris into Zelda! :D

Nice game! It's quite hard but the idea is awesome. Music can be improved but I really liked the dungeon, player and enemies graphics (UI looks weird, though). You did quite an interesting combination: it respects the rules of tetris while allowing some exploration. Heck, we even control both at the same time!

Nice work!
