Description

This is the first time I've actually finished my entry for Ludum Dare (third time trying). I made everything from scratch. It's a simple turn-based rogue-like, where your goal is to reach the exit of the room. Once you reach it, another random level will spawn, and you keep going until you die. You can regain health from energy "bottles". It is a bit glitchy, but it works in general. I also implemented an experimental high score system (how many levels you entered). Also, I haven't tested the Mac or Linux ports, so I don't know if they work.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Controls
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
WASD or Arrow keys to move. If you start your movement right next to an enemy and go through them, they'll die. If you end your movement next to an enemy, it will damage you and then die.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Shapeshifting
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Every third level will be nighttime, where many more enemies will spawn. You transform into a werewolf, which lets you attack enemies from 2 tiles away, even through walls.

All in all, I thought this game was pretty fun. I haven't seen a lot of games like this here, so it was pretty nice to play something new and refreshing. Good job!

An interesting concept. The controls were a bit wonky for me, every so often I'd end up moving diagonally despite only hitting a single direction.

I don't want to install java to run LD games, so I can't play this one. Congrats on finishing!

Really nice concept, and congrats on finishing! The puzzle-esque gameplay is very fun. There's some kind of bug or inconsistency with movement, though; I sometimes wouldn't move, or moved diagonally, or behaved in some other wonky way that caused me to take damage.

Controls are definitely buggy, like the already mentioned random diagonal movement issue. I also noticed that the werewolf form's 2-range attack doesn't really work as intended, and the form also lacks the ability to kill enemies by moving through them. Meaning, the werefolk stages were a chore, and the man stages were simple due to being more reliable and letting you abuse the enemy's simple AI. XD

Not exactly a new type of game but the werewolf form idea was quite cool. Also impressive that it's a compo submission, so it was made by just one person. Great job on finishing!
