pretty interesting game. would be interesting to see a game like this with card building. the game wasnt too bad to play, though at first i was like ok this is gona take 30 min to understand, but i got the hang of it after about 5 or so retrys. with the time given this was a good game, but with more time spent into levels and monsters and ally types this could be a pretty good game.

Nice game! I explanations are clear for the various mechanics, and I like the inspiration from nature. Good work!

@jcmonkey thanks for your feedback! I actually love the idea of mixing deck building with strategy games, I will take a look on how this would work.

I definitely wanted to create a smart system to have different types of bacteria and white cells, also a path-finding mechanics so the TCells would hunt the bacteria/virus that they were thought to fight (thanks to the communication of B-cells that were fired by macrophages when they die)... But I didn't had the time to do all that so T-Cells just move randomly to any available cell :P

I am not from Medicals and i never liked biology in my entire life but the way you have made this game is really interesting i would love to play more levels if you plan to add in future. Anyways coming to the topic game is well made and sounds are amazing. i liked those sounds. Game match with the theme and apart from that everything is good. the thing i would like to mention that in your help page spelling of bacteria is misspelled as vacteria :P and please do add more levels to this game.

Very interesting game and a good take on the concept of Life as Currency. It is a game that takes time to master, I had many repeated game overs but once I got the hang of it, I lasted longer on the game. Graphics is good overall and it could use some science-y background music, but overall, great strategy game and fits well with LD44, congratulations!

Nice idea, though it ended even before it really got going. Would have definitely needed more content. And half of the levels (if not all) were even setup so that it was impossible to fail.

The visuals were clean and mouth sound effects are always cool in my books. The UI could use some love though, I'm not the biggest fan of solid white squares with black arial. You already had another font and a stylized play button in the intro screen, why not those in the game too instead

One nice touch was the see through background on the help view (and even having in game help needs to be acknowledged in the jam scene) since it made it easy to see how the board was set up without the need to close the help view at all. Even though, I would have preferred for the descriptions to be in the game view itself as tooltips for the actual objects and buy buttons.

All in all, good job!

@antti-haavikko Thanks for the feedback! Yes adding tooltips crossed my mind but I prioritized due time constrains. I also wanted to fixup the UI but left it like that to focus on other aspects (like adding that extra level or sound effects :P).

The reason there are multiple fonts its because the tutorial, splash and play buttons were made with photoshop and exported as an image, where the rest are the unity default text mesh pro font :|. For next ludum dare I will make sure to choose a font and stick with it at the very beginning.

PD: yup, the first 3 levels they were basically made as a tutorial (and also I used them as "unit tests" for development). Only the last level really counts.

Good to hear! Generating a TMPro font takes like two seconds  But yeah in all honestness I've even gone the route of using only images as text at some points because I had started with a font that was in a format not recognized by Unity (times before TMPro, I think it has a wider array of formats it supports).
