Really nice concept, but maybe next time start with your audio a bit earlier so you can spend more time on that.

Made it to wave 22!

Things I liked:
- Easy to learn
- Simple controls, but enough to make me unsure about what is the "right" decision
- Fits the theme

Suggestions:
- Currently, I don't think there's much reason to buy "Wall durability". "Poison Durability" seems like a better purchase every time
- I wanted to build my own base! Would be fun if you could also buy walls/poison blocks and place them

I'm a sucker for simplistic strategy games. With a bit more work it could be one of those dangerously addictive mobile games.

Your game is pretty good! I think you should have an extra screen where it says something like, "Wave complete. New wave starting in ... "
Because when the wave is over it looks like the game has froze or something, so keep that visual feedback up.
I think your upgrades dropdown could be changed to icons or something. Could even link it to keyboard input too

Made it only to wave 9, but it was actually pretty fun to play!

The only thing I missed was more feedback on what was going on with the enemies. I was never sure if my upgrade strategy was working.

Like what other people said, with a little more work it could become a very addicting game!

How do I rebuild my base?

@cuppycat I'm afraid at the moment there are no options for rebuilding the base, the aim of the game is to last as long as possible with the base slowly decreasing in size

However, it is something I'm going to try and add to the game at some point in the future, as several players suggested.

Pretty good game. I felt like it is a little unbalanced though, once your Poison Damage is high enough they can kill enemies before being damaged.

Cool concept! I briefly considered doing a TD game too, but our team went with a hospital simulation in the end. Took me a bit to figure out what to do, as I thought I had to micro manage the towers or something - but the minimalistic approach to controlling your base works quite well actually. Not sure what the best strategy would be, my approach was to focus mostly on the poison towers, which brought me to wave 10. Seemed decent enough, but not like a sustainable strategy in any way.

This may also be the first TD game I've played where you can basically commit suicide by buying an upgrade. Not sure if this should be considered a bug or a feature though. :D

This is a really neato idea! I think your art is, while minimalist, good to look at. The gameplay is a little bit lackluster, which is kind of to be expected from a TD game, but I do feel like not being able to build a base is a little sad, but I understand that in 72 hours you may not really be able to do that. I will say that the upgrade UI could be improved, I originally thought the indicators on the side where the upgrade or replace buttons, but I think the upgrades tab being a pull down is a little unnecessary and makes it harder to navigate. It would've been better if you either click those side indicators or have other buttons on the other side of the screen that were always around. I also really wish you had gotten around to music, because 9 times out of 10, that's really what drives the whole thing home (but again, I do understand that 72 hours is not a long time).

P.S. I also think that some way to go back to the start from the game over screen would be nice, but I might've missed something on that screen as well.

@very-dark-lord yeah, I mostly just forgot to fix that, because it was useful while building to quickly end the game.

@theyellowgreninja were you playing the web version? Because I only noticed yesterday for some reason it freezes on the game over screen, but it's not supposed to, and I'm not sure if it does that on the app versions...

Btw thanks for everyone's feedback, it's been really helpful :)

Maybe you can add something to do like click on enemies
