Tiny Bullets by joekickass

Tiny Bullets is a shooter where the more bullets you have, the less damage you do. Running out of bullets will mean death for you, kill enemies to gain ammo and points and find a balance between enough bullets and getting the highest score.

Love the low-poly art! Bunny hopping was cool, takes a while to start going fast but it does help. Would have liked to have more in-game feedback (like blood or bullets!), and had more things to do than just shoot enemies for ammo. Map worked well, kill-feed was cool. Good work.

Was a great time to work at, my first Game Jam and I learned a lot! Please try it out and leave a rating.

This was fun to play but ran very badly on my machine. I like that you went to the trouble of popping the enemy heads off. From experience, deleting or disabling the motion blur effect and the post processing in unreal can really help with frame rate. Nice entry

Cool mechanic and the graphics are very nice. Maybe the AI could be a little bit better at shooting.

@luther Yeah we spent a lot of time trying to get them to work better, very little luck tho.

It is fun game with cool level and Pepe. But it needs some graphics settings, because it freeze on bad computers.

it's actually a fun game, and the AI is nice, the thing i didn't like is the lack of visual feedback when shooting (like a muzzle flash and some hit indicators on the enemies), nice work, and pepe.

I enjoyed streaming this game last night. It brought back memories of the original Unreal Tournament. It was a lot of fun. Great work!

Woah, 400 MB? That's a lot of 1s and 0s you wrote in 72 hours... But it's understandable when you look at all the Pepes you fit in that game. Unfortunately, my crappy graphics card didn't really like the visuals as much as I did, but it was fun nontheless. Very nice interpretation of the theme too. (Didn't actually notice much of the effect though.)

Had some fun playing this, and yeah 400MB ! This is certainly the biggest game I every downloaded in a Ludum Dare... good job ? :p

The level design is very cool I think it really looks like and arena. The graphics and the AI are a bit simple but it's a jam game so I have no big expectations. My best score is about 120 points
As it was already said I think, it needs more feedback as you never know when you are hit so it is a little frustrating.

I had no problem running the game on my computer so for my nothing to report for this issue :)

@gozz @phi Our modeller was trolling around so with each model there came like 600 materials... That's probably why its so big. So yeah, Good job us :D

I love how it's built like an old arena shooter and it's filled with a bunch of fluffy animals. The heads popping off was a nice touch too. Could have used more feedback on the shots. It might have also felt nicer to pick up ammo drops instead of getting the ammo for free on kill. Cool entry though, keep it up!

@wheffle I agree with you on the feedback for shooting. We had initially planned for the bullet sounds to lower in pitch the more damage you were doing as well as muzzle flash/ bullet impact particles. but unfortunately, none of us knew how to do those things beforehand and just didn't get time to go and learn them due to a lot of bugs that needed our attention. But that's how it goes I guess.

As for the bullet pickups, we needed to make it so killing an enemy would give you bullets because we didn't think players would willingly pick up bullets if they did less damage because of that.

But thanks for the feedback and thanks for playing our game!

The games works pretty swell ! But maybe you could have done an effort on the game size, 404 MB to fight with some Pepe ? Really ? :P But the map's are really cool, good and complete level design ! Sad for the size of your file, i'm pretty sure that prevents a whola lotta people from downloading your game.

Being an old Quake player, I was in dismay when I found I couldn't bunny hop or rocket jump. Regardless, that was a pretty fun game, with a really interesting twist. Extra points for your implementation of the theme!

Cool game, I like the hopping idea. The environment was especially polished. I wish there were some gun effects, like muzzle flashes or lines.

Other than that, good job on getting this much done in the time frame. The death animations were hilarious too.
