Blood Priest by Beelzeboss

[raw]
made by Beelzeboss for LD 44 (JAM)

horse2.png Most of the game was made in one day since i was traveling. (Not that more time would have helped with the autistic graphics :) )

You play(if it doesn't crash) as a priest of a blood cult conquering a region.

Casting spells, converting monastaries and destroying castles drains your life(which you can replenish at converted monastaries).

To convert/use a monastary click on the door/sides.

To destroy a castle you must be close to it.

The music is from Disciples 2 since i didn't have time for anything and i had the ost on my pc soldier1.png

@exploma the crash seem to occur in the web version only. I tried to fix it, but no luck :( (everything is a mess). Anyway thanks for playing.

Alright.

I liked the overall mood, it was very Heroes III'ish. The gameplay idea is interesting and not seen enough here.

The feedbacks are clumpsy, it's not very intuitive for a lot of very small reasons, but that's the price for doing a compo AND a very challenging gameplay.

All in all, nice work. Special thumb up for the roads :P

Destroying castles gave me some satisfaction, but I have expected to get some reward for that. Also it isn't obvious how much I can move per turn. Good job!

I fact you need more time to develop the gameplay. But there is some nice ideas. Maybe some more difficulty to destroy castles. i dont know. But good job!

The art and animations are very cool, and you seem to have all the necessary parts for a good turn based strategy game. Just need to make the outcome of actions more clear (add in animations for each action, and a game-event log), include a bit of a tutorial, and balance it. Would be very fun indeed! Great job so far though considering how ambitious a project it is!

graphics are funny and the gameplay looks interesting but very hard to understand, it lacks feedbacks on how far you can move, what is clickable. Btw, can you pass a combat turn ? Cheers :)

This is a good starting point, but there just needs to be more time put into it.

Cool game, I like the different things you can do with your health!

I died on my first run. On my second run the health was always full after a while which was strange. I also got the end screen after destroying all castles, but the end screen was showing that I lost, as well as won (overlapping).

lol this game is awesome. as others have pointed out, some gauge of remaining movement would be nice, as well as a way to conscript more acolytes from conquered areas.

10/10 art

I get it, the ring to rule them all! Note: the win dark panel doesn't fit entirely my screen (which is in 1920x1080).
