Bloom by Fadex
You are not just a flower.
You are the nature.
Trying to escape them.
Go on.
Bloom.

Hope you enjoy all the original pieces made for it and play through the whole thing (it's like 10 minutes of gameplay).
We've created a game for the LudumDare44 Jam. It's kind off an end(less) runner game with a progressing story. You play as a flower that grows and evolves. Controls change for each stage. Your goal is to outgrow humanity and destroy it. We've done all the artwork, music and programming during the 72 hours.

Then the game starts and it was completely different then i expected :)
I love the art and mood of this game a lot. Also - i think game would be perfect (and easier) to be played on mobile devices ! Excellent game!
The art is beautiful! I'm not sure how this connects with the theme yet, and you probably don't want your game rated in humor because it doesn't seem like it's intended to be a funny game. Also, at the very beginning of the game, I didn't see any water on the ground, and the instruction just said flick, so I kept flying up and up, trying to get around the clouds because I thought they were obstacles. In the end I fell back to the ground and realized I could have been collecting things and running from buildings the whole time. So maybe include a directional arrow as a beginning instruction. Well done! I'm sorry I couldn't reach the end, it's a beautiful game!
I try to give a little constructive feedback when I can, so I'll mention a couple things... it really felt like it took a long time to go between movement types for me, to the point it started to feel a little repetitive in the walk stage. I honestly think halving the times per stage might have helped.
I also ran into a really discouraging bug(?) after getting to the flight stage... I got knocked back into walking as I got hit into the buildings, and as a result I had to start the walk stage completely over. It seemed like every stage was a checkpoint, so that felt crummy.
Still a great entry - don't take any of that the wrong way! Thanks for a good entry.
I also ran into a problem, being as clumsy as I am, where the game assumes you have reached a certain mode of mobility further on and if you can't, for example, fly... you get stuck with no chance of clearing an obstacle by hopping. Maybe it's supposed to reflect how in this crushing world you make one mistake and you're doomed? Or maybe I'm just bad at this...
Either way it was fun and contemplative.
I enjoyed each segment, however I couldn't get beyond the point at which you become a tree, as once I grew large enough I would be hit by aerial obstacles that I could not evade that would cause me to lose.
- some of the collision felt off on the crawling plant phase, and i'd just get boned by random debris
- I couldn't finish the tree section due to being unable to spam fast enough due to repetitive strain, and i'd just get caught between the buildings and the flying objects
I'd love to finish it, I feel like I was just reaching a crescendo, and felt fantastic up until then.
