This Ludum Dare went all but smooth for me this time, with poor planning, lack of time, and the occasional expired software I managed to at least create somewhat of a playable game. So don’t expect too much of it when you go in.

With that out of the way, I created Shiftatron, a small puzzle game where you have to get your product to the end of the production line. You progress by changing the colour and size of your product to match the product in the lower right corner of the screen. Due to the problems mentioned above, I couldn’t create any models, so I colour coded all my objects to make it a bit more clear.

Black: A conveyer piece, can be either straight or a corner
Orange or blue: A recolouring piece
Purple: A resizing piece
Light grey: the start and finish of the production line. The start is always at the far top

The game is fully controlled by mouse and can be played by dragging the various puzzle pieces over the grid and interface. The game is four puzzels long due to the time constraints.

To round it off, next Ludum I’m going to build a game that’s a bit easier to create, because this time around I had way too much trouble creating my entrie. And I’m going to check whether my software still works before I actually start working on something. Better luck next time I guess haha
