This is my first Ludum Dare entry!

I was working together with Simon Traut, who made the Tileset and Music. Everything else is made by me, Stefan Uhlenberg aka. ProTurials.

My Game:

You play a robot running on batteries, getting from room to room, which are randomly chosen.

  • Kill other robots to get "Dollas" and Batteries
  • Upgrade either all battery capacitys or your weapon's damage at the end of a room
  • Enemys will get stronger each room
  • The more active you are, the more Energy is used
  • There is no health- or energy-bar
  • Your Energy is indicated by 3 different colors on your character and the amount of light you are emitting
  • If your Energy is 0, you will die

Had some collision issues at some parts of jumping, I liked the store upgrades that you could get and was pretty challenging. Nice submission

This is the game I wanted to make! Well, good job making it, it could use a bit more polish on the level design, but all things considered, I like it.

Little hard to see some of the platforms, but very enjoyable!

Pretty good game, although I wish the controls were a bit more polished.

It fits the theme well, has nice graphics (although it's a bit dark - maybe want to increase the lighting range) and the music is good.

The gameplay feels a bit clunky and the hit detection isn't the best. But for your first game it's really not that bad.

Good work.

Nice lights you've created there mate^^. How did you create them? In my opinion those lights help to create a creepy atmosphere (some people argued that its too dark, but I don't think that thats the case). The dark tone of your game also reinforces the theme of this LDjam^^. The pixel art might be a bit simple but it'll do its job.

@rac-games Take a look at this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=utw8vvKcDrQ
I just created a script to do the light drawing a bit easier ^^

The character felt too big for some of the spaces so jumping and avoiding traps was kinda hard. I still kept playing though, so that's a good sign :) and the music was pleasant. good job

The game is nice. The level design is good with its little secrets and all, and the graphics and music are cool.
On the technical side, there are some bugs with the platforms and the gravity is a little too strong for the rest of the movement.

There was a lot of content in this submission. What's really nice is that the levels were randomly chosen so I could see them all even if I lost a lot of the time. The jump mechanic was a little too difficult for me to handle so I ended up not getting the movement that I wanted. But either way, I think I ran through all the levels at least one time. Definitely enjoyed it!

Nice! The platforming's a little unforgiving at times, but it's fun, and the art and music are well done too. Congrats on the first entry - looking forward to seeing more!
