CardRush by Weizengaming
For this Ludum Dare we combined a plattformer with a card game to make out game CardRush. Race through Jump and Run Levels against enemy controlled by our ai, wich is not very clever. To finish the rave first you can use various cards to boost your self or to debuff our oponent. Can you make it through the more or less difficult levels and become the champion?
Information to the Game: * Engine - Game Maker Studio 2 * Graphic Editor - Pyxel Edit * Game made by 2 People in 72 Hour, who had nearly no knowledge about Game Maker
The biggest problem was the enemy, which has an simple ai that could be better and will become better in the future. Also we want to add more cards, a deck builder, more maps and more diverse enemy types.
Have fun with our game!
PS: Due to a last minute mistake the card "gravity field" sadly causes the game to crash :( Because we used the limited GameMaker2 version we atm don't have the ability to upload a fixed version. We are sorry for that and hope you still have fun playing our game (and avoid using this card).

PS. I think game maker also offers the option to make the game a executable. (At least GM1 does) You might find it in the Global Game Settings.
Also i found this error message:

Just as a recommendation: Games that you have to install are a big deterrent to some of us. It's better to have a stand-alone zip with just the executable and data in it. I'm not sure if GM2 lets you do this, but might help for the future.
And yes, installers are kinda turning off a lot of people from trying out the game.
I've noticed later that the power bar on the top left is linked to the cost of the wizard spells. Perhaps you can disable cards which doesn't have enough power to be used? :)
Anyway good job! Hope you'll have enough votes to be ranked! :D
Maybe I just suck, though.
Other than that, the game idea itself is pretty neat (and sort of similar to our game in terms of card implementation).
Well done!
