PROVE UR THE RADDEST GIRL ON WHEELS!!

This is my first ludum dare entry ^__^

Game was created using Clickteam Fusion.

Everything was by me from scratch in under 48hrs.

Controls:

Z = cycles through outfits

X = dresses girl into the selected outfit

LEFT & RIGHT arrow keys turn car.

ESC: quits game

How to play:

you are the ginger girl on the right.

you must dress your girl to match the bottom icons in order left to right.

each round is a best 2 out of 3, win a round over the blonde girl to score a point.

crashing the car loses you 1 point.

5 points to win the game.

What an amazing game! The graphics are adorable and the style of the game really captured the idea of an arcade machine or old school games. The theme is well executed too, love it!

Love it, such a good execution from graphics, animation all the way to music and sound effects. Very well captured style of slot machine games. Little unclear you are supposed to dress left from right but I have figure it out eventually.

I absolutely love this style of game. I used to be addicted to Pole Position as a kid. The only thing is I couldn't really figure out what I was supposed to be doing as far as changing outfits. Was it like memory? Was I supposed to match what the other girl was wearing? Or just change as quickly as possible? I tried both but ended up dying regardless.

@David Boeger thanx dude. yeah, i grew up playing things like tmnt arcade, street fighter alpha & just loadsa sega, konami, capcom arcade games, tho i never played outrun or pole position lol. as for the objective, u are the girl on the right & u gotta cycle thru ur head icon on top left & match the outfit at the bottom, before the blonde girl does, if u do ur head goes on that bottom outfit, u gotta get 2 outta 3 each time to get a point , & 5 points to win the game. thanx for the compliments man, i'm gonna check out ur game in a bit. ^__^

Really cool! The AI started totally destroying me shortly after I knew how to win a round. I think it's really well made and polished, crazy that you made this in such a short time!

Wow, fantastic job nailing the arcade/old-school aesthetic! I love the colours, and the music/sound effects are spot on. I found it pretty difficult to play - even when I have the turns and the outfits nailed down, the AI always seems to beat me to the punch! - but it wouldn't be fun if it was easy, would it?

As a small side note, it's always wonderful to find another Clickteam Fusion user! It's always encouraging to see people making such great things with the software.

Brilliant visuals and audio. I think if they doubled down on the theme and expanded in terms of humour and made the visuals more comfortable to look at, this could be a gem.

Fantastic game! The art style is so evocative of old-school racing arcade games down to the lines across the screen. Fast paced and bright! I had a hard time telling when to stop turning the car and noticed that you could turn even when you weren't supposed to but oh well! It was fun spilling the girls all over the place haha.
The mood is on point, very funny and funky audio. Great game!

First of all - credits to achieving such a cool retro feel to this game with everything from the raster graphics to the audio voice sample and implementation of road movement. I really like the graphics and the way it captures the past. For me it was way to difficult to master and I didn't really catch the whole outfit switching mechanic although it's probably more obvious than I realize :) Great job!

Really neat little game. The rules of the game were not really clear to me at first, and i still don't know how car getting off course affects the game, but everything else is great. Main idea of the game is fun, the graphics are super lovely and the sound effects just perfectly fitting for this oldschool arcade feel to the game.

@Annie Owl yh, i still need to make the rules clearer. especially since i've just put a new updated version on with sum extra graphical hype that's even more challenging! in the new one crashing the car loses u a point. i was in a rush wen i made it so i didn't get round to it then. & thanx for the compliments on the gfx & sound, i'm always trying to recreate the feeling i had wen i played arcades as a kid, so that's really nice to hear.

I use to car surf, but never anything cool like this, plus I don't look good in a dress. This game is great, just everything about it, very fun, very challenging, it took me some time to get even a little hang of the mechanics, but I couldn't stop, I definitely want to play this game some more after this weekend(I'm in another jam now).

Okay, that WAS Jim Mode, but give me a break please, even then its not even trivial.
Then I figured out the game and I've beat it on normal.
Now I'm struggling with Crazy.

It takes some player dedication to crack the rules and strategy, but it sure is satisfying.
