Staying forever seems like a grim fate, I was never too fond of false new beginnings. But using deaths careless offerings there might just be a chance to escape...

About

At the limbostore, you pay with your life. Literally. Trapped between life and death you collect hearts to buy upgrades and proceed to the top level of the building. Trying to get to heaven and find peace.

Love the art style and the music. The gameplay is simple and the is fun to play. The story is a bit weird, but more important it is super funny. Overall a really good LD game. Well done.

Very nice graphics!! 10 / 10 puppies! Really enjoyed playing it. It would be cool to have more speed if you have to play the same places over and over again. One thing I noticed is, that you can buy already sold items again, I don't know if that is intentional but maybe the player can soft-lock themselves with that. Otherwise great game, nice music and a very good experience ! Thanks :).

Great game! It's well rounded, solid and I had a great time with it.
It was also genuinely funny, I have only rated a few games for humor so far and the different deaths made me smile often.

I think I missed at least one death because I bought a thing too early :sweat_smile: and I also noticed that you were able to buy something multiple times. You can grind deaths, so it's probably not a blocker (although repeated deaths give waaaay less hearts than the first time you experience it).

Overall a very nice entry, good job! :D

Just fixed the potentially game-breaking multibuy bug (well, not exactly game-breaking, but forcing you to grind, which can be quite annoying) and added some alternative keyboard input buttons and platform builds for Linux and macOS on itch.io.
