Lil' Justin's Fame Escape by spierek

You're Justin Famous - an up-and-coming teen pop idol - and you need to get to your next gig in time... but the town is swarming with fans that will try and to anything to make that perfect selfie with you, even if it means that you won't make it in time.

Avoid fans' gaze, try to lose them by diving into crowds, throw them a pile of autographs to distract them as last resort, and make sure you're not late to the concert!

That's a neat idea for a stealth game and I liked how your smoke bomb is just throwing autographs everywhere

HA! Fun stuff! I'm dumb enough that it took me two playthroughs to realize the star position was the direction of the next venue... once that clicked I blew through a lot of them.

Great use of theme and humor :)

Smooth, novel, and decent looking. I like it. Kind of reminds me of a really good flash game, from back in the day. Good stuff.

Really well done level with the crowds.

Laughed at the singing when I arrived at the concert.

Could do with some new mechanics introduced as the levels progress. Maybe different types of fans. Appreciate the limits of a game jam.

Very impressive and stylish.

Holy shit it began to get hard after 15 concerts, but managed to get 22 concerts with some good strategies ;)
I loved the concept of the game and the graphics was nicely done. Was easy to tell the difference between fans and normal people.
The audio was cool too. I will have those high pitched voices stuck in my head for the rest of the day :P

Managed to play 22 concerts before succumbing to the demonic red-eyed fan horde ;) Cool sound and cute look! My only advice would be to have a little how-to for making it easier to pick it up.

If the fans just knew how much Justin hates them... Very funny game!

A very fun game with perfect match for the "the more you have, the worse it gets" premise. Best game I've tried so far :)

amazing work dude! those fangirls are soooooo cute :) is there an end or is it endless? ( I gave up at around 9 concerts )

Also how did you manage the AI so they avoid each other instead of running into each other?

Justin Famous huh, no one would've expected that xD. To review the game: The game is mechanically good, movement and abiliteis feels great, the only thing I would point is that there are too few ways to get away from fans, even if you have one, the slow you get with 1 fans is the same as having mutliple fans, it could be better if it was like a multiplier. More fans = more slow, till a max ofc.Beside that the game is too slow in getting atleast a bit difficult. Only after being at 9 concerts given was the first time I even got catched by a fan. The music that started playing while you got closer to the place is ok-ish, didn't really feel right in the game and was too repetitive, maybe could have added some different ones.
The sound effects/voice acting was rather well done and really funny to listen to.

I enjoyed the couple of minutes I played the game for, and I understand the hard work needed to create something like this!. Our team also worked hard to create a game for the jam. You can check it out [here](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/jazzy-beats)! :whale:

O shit @6smith
My high score is 39 - and I'm one of the creators :P

@sharks - Yeah, team Effort - 4 guys core + support of friends :)

@wakka2 - The game is endless but it's constantly harder so I won't be surprised if there is a level that you simply cannot beat :)

@robinhoodpt - Thank you for your detailed feedback - we really like your game and we were discussing it before your post - good work! :)

A pop-idol themed stealth game? I don't know how you people come up with this stuff. I just know I want more.

![chrome_2017-12-06_19-47-43.png](///raw/519/z/e184.png)

So, one thing was just having fans tagging around and ruining the idol's day, but another was implementing stealth mechanics, like lines of sight and the rockstar-but-not-really equivalent of a smoke bomb, which doubles as a hilarious node to the world of the famous.

The game by itself is cute and fun to play with, but the sounds really made up the experience for me. The quirky voices of the fans going all over the place saying OH EM GEE and the like? Just perfect.

Astounding display there. In behalf of my team, we hope that you get more stuff on the way in the future. We'd like to check that out as well. Kudos! :whale:

Funny game,
cool sound!

but things change fast. We start with a stealth game, but after 10 concerts it becomes more an action game (and in my opinion, it's less interesting)...

Also, there are some little streets between buildings where we can't run, and that's a shame..

This was a very cool idea and well executed. love how you start being stealthy trying to get from concert to concert yet then becomes almost a speed runner trying to dodge groupies.

would be cool to see different types of fans who slow you down in different ways

great job to your team
