You will slowly have declining health (too few cig's) Earn cigars by subduing/punching fellow inmates or wardens.

-------- HISTORY --------

The game of Ziggy who was wrongly convicted... sentenced to prison time - of course trying to avoid getting involved in fighting but .... he'll just die if he runs out of cigs. A guy in the cafeteria offers to sell him some of the good stuff to boost him but hey.... he wants cigs and only way to get them... well "talk" to the other inmates or the wardens.

Inmates / Wardens will get stuck on eachother and walls.

Haha, ended up protecting myself with a swarm of wardens! Needs some polish/bug fixing but pretty cool.

This gime is quite like Agar.io, but in prison. Combat system isnt polished and its hard to understand but great entry anyway.

That's an intresting combat system. I think the concept works well with the theme but having to target specific enemies can be somewhat hard.

Good job on the level design as well.

A fun little brawler, and the premise of needing cigarettes to survive is interesting and weird at the same time. Good job!

I like your idea and the "background story", but battle are too difficult.I think top down view is maybe not the best way for hand to hand fight, it's best for shooter. Make a side beathem all with same ideas and i think that's better.I like the trade system, they're lot of work on this entry.

The cigs sprite gave me serious stick-rpg vibes. Combining that with a polished version of your combat system and you've got a pretty awesome game on your hands.

Cool little game! The story + the funky beat makes punching fellow inmates kinda hilarious! Main complaint is what others have already mentioned, the combat. I had a hard time knowing if I hit someone or not so some visual feedback there would be nice. Good luck with future entries!

I like it! The music is good and the premise is nice, but it does feel pretty floaty and imprecise controls-wise sometimes.

Combat part needs something more but otherwise interesting concept!
The music is nice, why isn't it on by default?

As most have said, the combat could use some work. Maybe show an arm, a little feedback when reaching for a punch. Pretty funny to run around punching everyone once and getting them all riled up though haha!

I am kinda confused by the way combat works and also what are those numbers in the right panel? The number of cigs of the other teams? Anyway, it maybe still needs some more work but a rather good start :)

Definitely hit M for some jams! Fun project, of course it could use a bit more feedback in the combat system, but with the clear sound effect and the nice visible health bars I was able to figure out what was what. I got beat to death in the corner by those yellow guys on my first visit, but next time I figured out I have a super-power of punching through walls and I showed them who's the boss!!!

Not having any combat feedback makes it really hard to enjoy the game since thats 99% of it.. I played it just to try out the exploit pictured above.

So I played the game and it is definitly not perfect and juicy and all that, but over that the prison system with how cigarettes represent your life and the system is nice. I like how you tried to make the game a tiny narrative and it makes me think of simpler game where the system made you imagine the story and not the other way around.

A lot of people said a lot of things that could be improved so I wont reiterate. I like the idea, the game is not complete so I can't rate it really high but I won't rate it any low because I enjoyed the idea even though the execution is lacking

Nice game but it needs to be improved a lot. sounds are okay and graphics are also ok but nothing much to do in this game it is not interesting to play it again and again. anyways i guess that i have found a bug...

Gonna agree with most around the combat system, but I liked the game in general. If you decide on a post-LD release the story can slowly be introduced to extend play-ability. I think this is a good start.
