Try to house as many tenants as possible by building apartments that meet their demands

Controls and Gameplay

The tutorial quickly explains the basics but was quite literally made last minute (#LDJAM).

  • Click the icons in the bottom left to select what block to build and click where you want it placed.
  • Note though that you cannot remove blocks.
  • Elevators must be built on top of each other to function properly.
  • Blocks can be build edge to edge (e.g. see top right of screenshot/cover image).
  • Prospective tenants are shown in the top left. Hover to view their demands and drag to an apartment to house them there.
  • The icons in the bottom right are various information overlays that can give you some information about your construction.
  • You can rotate the view by dragging the background with the left mouse button, or by dragging anywhere with the middle or right mouse buttons.
  • You can switch floors up/down with the mouse wheel or the buttons in the top right (scrolling should no longer interfere with the browser window).

Very comfy little management game. The game is a bit hard to understand, even with the tutorial. For instance, it took me a while before I realised apartments could "hang" on to elevators amd how elevators work in general, but once you get the hang of it it's a pretty comfy experience. It's the kind of game that you can play mulling over what is the best strategy for achieving the maximum score, or play casually and just drag the tenants into the apartments, without so much as glancing at their preferences. Really fun overall.

One note though: when you use the mouse wheel to change floors you also scroll on the website, so you might want to make sure the entire page fits on the screen at the same time, or a way to play in fullscreen.

Really lovely idea! I included it in my Ludum Dare 40 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yel2Ap19z6s

I got a bit confused with the controls ... perhaps because I kinda expected something like the unity 3d editor controls .. other than that the interface looks pretty neat. I really like these block based editors. Perhaps with a little more work this can become an awesome title.

Neat little management game. It took a little bit to understand what was going on, but once I did, I had a good time with your game. I think it would have been nice for the potential tenants to have some sort of time limit to add a bit of a challenge, because as it currently is, you can take all the time in the world to make the next person's apartment. I also don't know if there was any way to lose, maybe I didn't play long enough. Overall though, with some polish and maybe some more mechanics to add to the challenge, this could be a really awesome game! Good job!
