A solid start to a game with potential. It is obvious that you have put in a lot of effort into the graphics, as the character models look very fleshed out. A nice effort was also put into the UI and menus, with the options menu and various bars, but the option menu was glitchy (at least in the web version) and could have used some extra work. I would also recommend considering the connection between the game and the theme, as even though the main mechanic hinges on sacrifice, I don't feel like I'm sacrificing anything. The followers are annoying obstacles that I feel happy to eliminate; if they did something positive, it might add to the game's depth with some dilemma and strategy (to kill them or not?!?!). I did however, quite like the feel of the weapons, with the particles and massive bullet size. It made it feel juicy. Overall, there is certainly more work that could be done, and the game has a huge amount of potential.

Pretty nice little game) Maybe it needs some animations for the hero, but these upgrades and sacrificing are cool:)

The map is kinda confusing, a loosing condition and speed litit would be nice.

Congrats for your first LD. Nice game, good concept of sacrificing followers for upgrades, but it gets a little frustrating to find the last remaining enemies. Needs a polish but overall a good first entry. Welcome to LD world.

The art is a little inconsistent, but it looks OK. It's also a bit confusing at first when I'm getting swarmed by a ton of people after a few seconds. After the confusion was over, I found a pretty good concept underneath, along with satisfying combat visuals.

Well done on your first game. All the bits seemed to work, not sure how the bullets from the gun affected the people but the scores were going up. I can imagine you learnt a lot from it well done and good luck.

ok, my bad, I wasn't comment the right game ><.
Anyway your game is interesting but maybe the followers are a little "troublesome" in our movements.

Interesting game, definitely needed some sacrifice to win. Took me a while to figure out that the weapons and bullets would only work on the red enemies, I tried to shoot my followers to get them out the way, after around 50, they had me surrounded! Then I discovered what the buttons would do, and I finally got rid of them. Couldn't find most of the red ones for a while, then saw them all clustered together in one place. Was down to the last one, and made an enormous speed boost to find him, but I was able to escape the bounds of the world, and then couldn't get back in! Also, I couldn't get the options menu to work for me. Thanks for making it, congrats on finishing your first Ludum Dare!

Thanks for the feedback @mgoadric There was a glitch where the enemies would cluster together and I probably should have made a tutorial as-well on how to play but anyway thanks for the feedback

I don't feel that there is enough of a cost to sacrificing, and that there is great reason to fight the "enemies". But interesting concept.

Had a lot of issues with moving around and 'sliding' and losing control. The game itself was put together pretty wholly, but definitely look for building game control and polish! :)

Hey good job on first LD entry! I liked the idea for the hand drawn art, I think if you worked on that skill more you could get a really nice aesthetic going for a game. The upgrade system was cool and evident as my gun was getting bigger, and I started to run a lot faster. My only gripe would be that it didn't seem as if I could "lose" and I ended up just going running around and stumbling over my yellow people that didn't need to be sacrificed anymore because I had max upgrades. All things considered, this was a good little game and has potential since it's a neat idea.
