Death to all Slimes by markusmo3

[raw]
made by markusmo3 for LD 44 (JAM)

Important Notes

  • The game is pretty loud! Turn your Volume down before starting.
  • You can upgrade yourself to death in the Shop.
  • You can reload yourself to death. One reload only fills you up to the your maximum and costs one Soul. Aim properly and only reload when you know you have enough room in your orbit.

Arrow Keys or WASD to move around. Mouse to aim, shoot and reload. F to exit menus.

Totally unfinished, unbalanced and probably full of bugs, but thats how it goes a i guess  Its my first jam, but please be direct and straightforward :v:

Lessons learned: * Start even simpler and finish the prototyping phase before trying to do make everything look fancy. * Particle Systems are fun and can do a lot! * Not quitting was by far the hardest part. * Don't use Unity's animation framework Mecanim as an AI state machine...

Cool game, especially since it's your first jam! The player character was really cool, I loved the smoke effect. Apparently I should learn unity particles!

This game is REALLY good but the slimes get VERY overwhelming for the first couple rounds.
I like the style for it and the main character isn't distracting despite the effects. It's a game I may even pick up again.

Solid! The effect on the player is really impressive.

I don't know if it would be better, but since the waves are so big, not having a cooldown to shoot would make it more fast-paced and probably more satisfying.

Great entry!

Very pretty effect on the player however compared to the slimes he feels a bit sluggish and because of that you get overwhelmed pretty fast, but that just makes you restart to try again

So great job making as a first timer. 4/5 the music was a bit hard and the explanations a bit dull I did understand what to do, but I didn't get the part that it was a wave game as example. still again nice effects great sound choice and cool concept. Check out my game if you have time :v:

Well done! The visual effect applied to the protagonist was cool, and the overall theme implementation/game feel are great as well. I agree with the other comments that the game is pretty hard, but that's a plus in my book. :P
