Needs some form of instructions. Is there supposed to be a jetpack? It took me a while to even figure out how to recharge/shoot

Holy cow now that I know how to play, it's really good.

Low poly is one of my favorite art styles so thanks so much for pulling it off so well.

@ctjet99 Thanks for playing and for the kind words! Tutorialization was unfortunately one of the things that just couldn't get squeezed in to the timeframe. Though it would have been great!

The weapons are fun to use and I like the playful look of the world! I found the platforming to be too difficult though.

The general jumping was a little wonky. Though completely loved the concept and the execution. Great job!

Awesome game, great job! The music was very cute. I picked up the controls instantly without reading any instructions, which I value very highly in jam games. Slight advantage because I play FPS games frequently, nonetheless, good job on making it intuitive!

I generally agree with the consensus that the platforming was hard, but IMO it was pretty fair and consistent. The level design was good, taught me what I needed to know, but it could have been a bit more gentle on the difficult curve :smirk: Then again, I learned very quickly that those blob dudes *will* kill you in horrible mob fashion, and I learned to keep my distance.

It took me a while :bug:, but I finally figured out I could fly! :butterfly: I didn't pick it up from the level design, so I would say you hid this mechanic pretty well! It turns out if you grapple to a grapple point and switch to the blaster-gun while attached, you can hold spacebar and you'll keep going up forever. Note that switching back to the grapple gun removes the flying ability, but you can regain the ability by doing the setup again. The results were fantastic, the moment I realized I could fly was such a fantastic feeling. It felt just like when I played Journey for the first time -- flying (actually, extended jumping) felt so amazing after trudging through the sand for so long. Seriously though, thank you for introducing this bug! :beetle: Please leave it in! It genuinely made my day. I suspect people don't read comments before they play the game

After beating the game (without using the flying bug :bee:), I must say, I really enjoyed the mechanics that you came up with. They're easy to understand and well-communicated through the level design, yet they create engaging scenarios that has the player thinking. Shooting and grappling are brilliantly combined in the red-ball-grapple-point thing, I really appreciate that interconnecting of mechanics. I see strong potential in this game. You could go even further and create grapples made out of purple goo, enemies made out of purple goo, enemies that have a weak point covered in purple goo.. That kind of interconnecting of mechanics in games creates what I can only describe as sparks in my brain, and there's really nothing quite like it. That's why I love games (also why I studied math in college :yum:)

@Turncoda Thanks so much for playing.
This is amazing. I don't know why but it is pretty flattering when someone has spent enough time with your game to find a bug like this. :relaxed: I spent like 15 minutes flying around in this new "attack helicopter mode" getting vengeance on the slimes I unwittingly buffed at the last minute. :smiling_imp: As a matter of fact the whole game got re-tuned for a higher difficulty right at the end. Really goes to show how important it is to get some outside people to test your game.

I'm going to leave this "speedrun exploit" an open secret for now.

Here's what I liked:
- nice graphics
- the game has a menu / exit system, which many games do not have
- it seems to have quite a lot features

What would make me like it even more:
- I got stuck after the first energy restoration machine - some sort of in-game tips would help
- the music could be a little bit less intensive

Splendid cel shaded graphics, on the flipside the music is annoying (thanks for the options menu!)

The level is very impressive. I love verticality and massive structures and you have both! The first jump after the generator should be telegraphed better as @kornel remarked earlier. I tried it once and failed, then after a while came back here to find out that you can run and even then it is a very close jump indeed. There are a few more like that later too.

The secret is pretty funny . I would have liked to see more such hidden gems around the level. I managed to sequence break the bit after the Proto Gel bridge. You can walk around the pilar to the right and drop down to the purple door. I though it was a secret and got a bit disappointed when the lift went up to the intended path instead.

Fine job in all. Thematically it is not a good fit, but I certainly don't care.

Amazing game! The graphics reminded me of Antichamber, and the gameplay, though relaxing, constantly made my knees weak. People who are afraid of heights should not play this game! Or they totally should ;P Kudos guys this is a highlight for LD 39 for me!

I don't know how to play this game, the gun looks like that from Portal and that charging station looks like in Half Life. But how do they work? When does it get recharged? Why can I hold LMB when the shot is the same as when just clicking without holding? Where do I go from the charging station?

I quit this game after five minutes because I could not figure out these questions. If there is some mechanic I am missing then you should have better taught me in the game. I do not read game page descriptions, controls belong in the game, a manual should not be necessary, not even for game jam entries.

The music was OK, a little generic but fitting the comic style of the graphics.

The fact that this is a 3D game makes me respect your work even more, I still dream of making a 3D game for LD myself :-)

Good game with some nice art. I enjoyed playing it two days ago, but never had the time to write you down until today. Thing i liked about the game:
- The 3d art
- the nice shaders you have for the jam.
- the music was nice, reminds me with slime rancher.
- you made what seems a complete game...with MENUS and options!!!! you really spent good amount of time making a good package here.
- loved you particles, billboards, mesh particles, electric fx,...all the vfx was nice for that little amount of jam time!

What might need improvements from my opinion:
- the game was linear and straight forward, it might be okay for the jam version, but i guess if you plan for a full game, you need to rethink the gameplay and desing once more.
- i wish there were mode hidden stuff :D
