Dream Walking by SuperDolfy
Welcome to Dream Walking.
I'm pretty happy with how this went. Over the weekend I was being killed by this terrible cold that slowed me down considerably, but I finished, yay!

Description:
Dream Walking is a platforming game that revolves around the shapeshifting of the level. The levels will shape shift into different layouts when you (the player) touches a bed. Using the shape shifting of the level, you must navigate your way to the blue flag. There is also a cookie to be collected on each level. There is only one cookie per level, and collecting them all unlocks the final level, level nine.
Menu/Level Select:
I hope this isn't confusing. All you do is mouse over a level icon and click it to go to the level. You can't access level nine until you have collected 8 cookies.
Level Overviews:
Level 1: Tutorial
Straight forward tutorial level. Tells you how to move, arrow keys, and how to jump, up arrow key.
Level 2: There's a Tree
This level isn't a very difficult level. It gives you an example of choosing which bed to take to open up different paths throughout the level. Oh, and you should note that whatever color can be seen in the top left corner is the color that acts like air, so in one of the layouts for this level you are actually walking through the leaves. You can also fall out the bottom of the level in this one, if that happens in any level you will be sent back to the menu.
Level 3; Blister, Blaze and Burn
Ok, the level doesn't have anything to do with burning, it's just red, but I like the name anyway. Level three is arguably the hardest level of them all. There are ten layouts in the level, while every other layout is the same. That was probably confusing, the layouts go like this:.
Layout 1
Layout 2
Layout 1
Layout 3
Layout 1
Layout 4
Layout 1
Layout 5
Layout 1
Layout 6
I hope that cleared things up, if it didn't then I may have to rewrite my description of the gameplay. Now go play the level, then once you start to get frustrated, read the rest of this........... Had enough of the level yet? Here's how to beat the level. You always want to take the bed that is either the highest one that you can reach, or if your choice is between two beds on the same level, take the one that is the most over to the right. This pattern works in all but one part of the level. At that one part where the pattern doesn't work you have a choice between two beds, one of which will take you to the cookie, the other will take you farther on the path towards the blue flag. Have fun.
Level 4: Sandyness
This level is really straight forward and quite a bit easier than the last level. Every time you touch a bed, the sand either goes up or down, and the doors or panels either open or close. Pretty straight forward, you shouldn't need much guidance.
Level 5: Happy Tower (I feel as though this is the name of an app)
This level is also very straight forward. The idea is that you are on a tower that is being built, and as you touch a bed the building process either accelerates or decelerates. Although there are a lot more paths to take in this level, it still shouldn't be any more difficult then the last level.
Level 6: Under the Whale
In parts of this level, you are underwater, fun! Although there are no water physics. Also a very straight forward level, but you should note that if you fall out the bottom of the world you will be sent to the title screen. I also would encourage you to pay attention to the whale.
Level 7: The Adventures of Plumpy the Dinosaur
This levels fun, as you touch the beds, you shoot forward in time following a dinosaur name Plumpy. Very easy level to complete, but a pain to get the cookie. That's all really, watch the dinosaur.
Level 8: Sky Fall
This is probably the easiest level. The idea was that you would fall ad try to orient yourself so then you could get the cookie or touch the blue flag, but it didn't really work out that way. Enjoy the easy level while you can.
Level 9: Temple of Time
Why is this level called Temple of Time? Because it sounds epic. This is the final level programmed into the game, and it requires you to have obtained all the cookies from the previous levels (remember, only one cookie per level). Temple of Time has a lot of different paths that you can take, but I would say that completing the level is probably easier then in level three, the challenge comes when you try to collect the cookie. I would tell you how to do it, but I want to see if anyone bothers to figure it out. Have fun.
To play take the downloaded .zip, unzip it, open the folder, and run the .jar.
Note: Sorry I forgot to put this in here. If you start to experience lag, which you probably will, proceed to a bed and after the next layout loads the lag should be gone.

Anyways, good luck :)
This was pretty fun, though like others have said it would be a bit laggy at time, especially in the transitions between level layouts. Very unique idea though, with some nice graphics, sounds, and music, along with some more levels and more efficient code, you could really be on to something here. Keep working on it :)
