Audioplasmic by uvwar

[raw]
made by uvwar for LD35 (COMPO)
Audioplasmic is more of a weird simluation/screensaver than a game, with the plasmids reacting to sound!

CONTROLS:
Use Left Click to Rotate the Camera
Use Mouse Wheel to Zoom the Camera
Press R to reload the game

Click the Music Buttons to hear some tunes!

It will probably run horribly on your machine, so knock the resolution and graphics settings as low as you can go, it doesn't really hurt the experience much at all, the chunky pixels are kind of nice!

I tried to make it so the player could load in their own music, but I couldn't get it working well, so I put in some canned music.

definitely more of a cool experience than it is a game.
Ran just fine on my machine too :^)

I had fun watching the particles dance to the music! :) Would definitely make a nice screensaver! I don't think you are allowed to use 3rd party music for compo entries, though.

This is a pretty interesting game. with some more time, and allowing us to input our own music this will be fun.

Interesting! Definitely fun to watch. Would have been cool to have the particles moving around more, maybe with some kind of flocking sim. Hope you keep working on it - this could turn into a really neat art piece.

I wish I had that AS a screensaver. I like the possibility of custom input music but those tracks were a nice range. Track 3. The feels.

This was a really cool idea. I enjoyed it, even though it wasn't exactly a "game".

While not really a game, I do say this was quite an experience. The music choices were nice and I enjoyed the ways the particles moved to the beat. Not really anything else to say on it but good job!

A cool little simulation. Got way cooler when I realized I could zoom and rotate the camera in 3D.

Really lovely! I included it in my video compilation series of Ludum Dare games, if you’d like to check them out :) https://youtu.be/_jtEhCyw5p8
