Good work! I think extending the gameplay by having different ramifications for the map or your business would be interesting. More variation in the cards would be nice too (or at least a different order for them each time).

Hope to see it further developed!

This was a great fun little game. Ran out of money when I lost a lawsuit. Was a fun play! Keep it up =)

Forgot to mention, the music loop was hilarious (Up, DOWN) and there is a broken bug that if you repay loan at the start of the game you have an A credit rating.

Great game and concept! My only gripe is that if you immediately repay your load, then take out and repay loans, you can get to A without advancing time, and then basically start with $100,000 (breaking the game). Otherwise cool stuff. :)

Music is the best part of the game. I found the game a bit too easy as the chances of actually making a mistake were pretty slim. I'd like to see updates on this game.

I liked the idea! If you want to give a bit more flavor to the game later on,

- The advantages of coal is that it is cheap, and you control how much energy you produce. The disadvantages is that it pollutes quite a lot and can make people unhappy. Coal ain't running out anytime soon, but the country can choose to close its coal mines, so it has to be imported.

- The advantages of solar / wind energy is that they produce quite a lot, the problem is that nature has the ON / OFF switch. Solar produces more energy in summer, for example. Also, there's more clouds and wind near the coast, more wind in hills, and less clouds in deserts. This could make it so that choosing the location of wind / solar power mattered. Also it is more expensive at first, but becomes cheaper and better as time goes by and we have better technology (avocado lubricants).

- The advantages of nuclear is that it is actually relatively clean, and very powerful. The disadvantages is that... well earthquakes. That is, events can really screw you up.

Event-wise, just taking them randomly from a given list could give it enough replayability.

Having said that, I quite enjoyed the game, and found the event system / choosing power plants duality a very balanced way of keeping the game interesting (Only one of the systems by itself would not have been as enjoyable). The bank loan system also makes it so that the game is not about "pushing the next turn button until you have enough", which helps keeping the pace of the game at a good speed throughout. Great Job!

I liked the events, but the game was a bit simple for me. (i know 48 hour is not that much)
Maybe i had not enough patience. The music was great. :)

Really funny game! I didn't see myself running out in any way, which made it pretty easy. Super nice music though! Unless I went full-on on coal, which wasn't that possible as I had enough money for better options, I couldn't really be punished for my choices.

Neat mix between 'investment' kind of game and decision making process in your office like in game 'Reigns'. It is fun to expand slowly across the whole map and build your energy empire. Graphics are simple but consistent in art style and easy to read. In overall pretty interesting game with fun gameplay.

I ran out of money when I got sued! Dang it. I should have kept to buying clean/green energy. I'm a big fan of sustainability and would happily see something like this used to inform people. :smile:

Optional soundtrack choice was great! *More energy!*

Questions were funny sometimes too. Should I sponsor someone going.. what was it.. over a waterfall/hydroelectric-dam in a barrel? Heck yes I should.

Only thing I would have suggested is to direct players back into the buy/map screen at the end of a year. I was answering questions for ~4 years before I realised - ha! Nice work. :thumbsup:

Pretty fun game. There is lots of room for more cool features as well but the basics here are great. I liked Event system and choosing which kind of energy I should go for. A little more challenge might be nice, or events that show up that let you know something is coming down the line for a bit more strategy (I didn't see anything like that but I didn't see every event either). It would be cool for events to have repercussions later in the game as opposed to only immediate ones.

The dialogues were funny I like them. The graphics is basic but serve the game well. The core loop of buying lands, building power plants, expanding your company and treasury is solid. However, I think the game suffers a bit when it comes to difficulty. The game overall is a bit simple, there were really challenges, as long as you build the plants and wait, you will eventually be able to expand. The events are usually have good outcome without cost as well. Would be nice to have a time constraint and make some of the choices has both cost and benefit. (e.g. lose money but boost power output). The initial ramp up of the game was a bit slow, couldn't really do much for the first few turns other than passing. Would be nice to have cheaper plants / locations so I can do more in the early game.

Overall a game with a lot of potential. I enjoyed while playing and I loved the humor in it as well. Well done!

Fun game, with simple, clear interface and graphics. The choices every turn seemed pretty random, and they're the only way I lost (the first game was short), so otherwise the game was pretty easy. I enjoyed walking through it, though, and I appreciate the HTML5 version. Nice job.

I made a fortune on green energy alone, so I'm pleased with that. I would like to see more event cards to keep the game interesting.

Different game, more of a board game, but really cool and well made, in order to win you have to use your brain =p And this is good, I liked, different but good !

Good job putting this together in 72 hours! I know from a previous jam that balancing things with numbers takes a lot of testing and time. It starts of very interesting and promising, but the moment I found out I could take a loan and sell it off immediately, the game didn't feel fun anymore. If you do decide to create a post LD version, you might like taking a look at "Reigns" It does a similar thing with two choices.

With a bit of polish, I think you can release a better version of your game :)

Addictive game, I'm pretty prone to incremental/idle games so I had to keep playing til I finished. I could be wrong about this but it felt like the top choice tended to have more gains than the bottom one so I would lean towards that almost every time (unless I remembered the prev results). I really liked the interface. It's very clean and I knew exactly where to go with only the minor tutorial (which I also give props for, LD games have like a 5% chance of having a decent in-game tutorial).
