This is quite relaxing. The aesthetics are phenomenal. I look forward to a time of plenty for our pigeon overlords.

This game is awesome dude! Pigeon simulator... well hell yeah!
The fact you did it all by yourself blows my mind.
I had the game in 1 of my tabs that stayed on for hours [I forgot about it and just tester it now like 10 mins ago ^^#] and I was lik where does this come from? I think it fouled the cat into thinkin there are likr birds in the house too hahaha

The only negative thing I'll say is that I don't know you're punished enough when you eat too much (to go with the theme).
In my playthrough I played 4 days in a row but dinn do any more.
Aldo the level 2 is bugged maybe - it was super short (like 10 or 20 seconds only).

But that aside... it's a really good game. Made in 48 hours by just 1 person I can't believe - but I do 'cause I know you and that you can do anything... as this game proves :D Good job man, honestly :D

For the level 2 , it's made to be short (there is special day : a short one, a duel day, and a raining of food day) all in cycle of just 7 days ! (Initially, they would be an end with the raven. But like in all games, choices have to be made). And yeah, I should reajust the punishing of eating too much and the effect of previous days on your current speed is absolutely not visible unfortunatly... Thanks for your comeback !

Smooth is the best word for the game I think of. I'm really surprised you're not an artist, since the hand-drawn style and animations are incredibly endearing.

The main idea of this game is pretty neat and I feel that the mood of the game is what makes it good. It follows the theme quiet nicely. Where the game needs more polish and work is the game mechanics. The gameplay is pretty flat and not very interesting. Maybe it would become a more fun experience if you could interact with the other pigeons. For example it wouldn't it be pretty awesome if you could tackle or get tackled by douche bag pigeons? Overall I think you did a great job though, you should be proud that you finished a game during the jam. A big plus for actually styling the Unity WebGL site (that is something that I will look into myself)!

Very funny but my first day was 3 minutes and second day was 10 seconds! But the idea is so funny ;)

I don't see how this fits into the theme, i liked the graphics and the relaxed mood, maybe have some more competition vibe between the pidgeons? Animations were great :)

I aggree with everything you said, I want to make the other pigeon bounce, but then, it make the game to "arcade" and not in the mood, so I tried other thing , but it didn't work. The main good idea I have, I didn't make it in time (everything in the code was ready for it) and it involve the crow from end of day, and a cinematic.

Yeah, it was made by choice, but the dialogue who hint it ("Short day doesn't seem to bother you") was mess up and place in the wrong day. It was the "special day" who can trigger, like the duel with the speed bird, and the raining crumbs day. I should have fixed this...

If you eat a lot, the bird become slower (and the total of crumbs eat everyday influence too, making you even slower everyday) but due to very bad choice of value from me, you have to eat more than 100 to start feeling it and the other day, you didn't feel it at all exepect if you eat like 170 in one day...

Very original idea. I like the simple iterations in level design. I missed how the theme plays in until reading it in the comments, but its still a surprisingly enjoyable game.

Simple and intuitive, no need for a complex tutorial, we learn by doing like other pigeons (and trying to press space =) That's great. How and the game succeed to be calm while competitive, impressing.

Simple enough, but once I learned how to eat crumbles like a pro, the other birds couldn't even TOUCH me.
And is there any reasoning as to how long a given day is, or is it just one more random variable, like the number of rival birds or crumble density?

I read through other comments and understand you have different types of days, but I got a "short day" message after my third day which was substantially longer than the ultra-short day two. Weird. I also now see that you're aware of that, so good. :)

Graphically quite nice. Very relaxing sounds as well. This idea has a lot of potential in terms of varying up the types of birds and giving them different behaviors and/or attitudes. I would love to see a fuller game made from this. Congrats on a very nice entry, and I hope you have a great LD! :)

Indeed, everything is so simple, and yet, very effective. The graphics, the sound design, the gameplay, and the link to the theme. Actually, for this last one, I had to read the other comments to truly understand what you meant. This will be my main criticism. It would have been nice to see an ending, like you planned initially. But other than that, it's all good to me! I agree that more gameplay would have broke the spirit of contemplative pigeon simulator.

Really nice entry! I enjoyed a lot the mood of this game. Everything works to convey it (the graphics, the audio and the game mechanics).

In the beginning I thought there was some sort of progression (and maybe a story) but I guess it's just a "random" level being loaded each time? I think it would really serve the game a lot if there was some sort of closure.

All in all it's really interesting. Congrat's!

It was some special day who are very short, but I didn't come to my "end" (with that darn crow !) and there was special day where other bird was mean to be really quicker and better, to challenge the one really good and make feel bad the other (in a volunteer way), but it didn't work well...

Yes, I really mean to make an end to the game at 7 days (the crow, some crumbs and a shoot em up surprise gameplay) where all lead to this. I wanted to make it on the Monday but my computer just update and take away 3hours and with my other work, I didn't succeed to find the time to make it (but everything in the code is prepare !)

The temptation of overeating feels like a realistic problem for a poor city pigeon! I only experienced (or noticed) the the slowness from eating too much one time, so that could maybe be better balanced (as you mentioned in some comment above I think). But actually it really didn't seem important, I just wanted to be a pigeon, eat som crumbs, and have a nice day. The mean crow trying to get you to compete more with your fellow pigeons was a nice touch, too!

Humorous little game. The second day passed in 5 seconds for the record. Pigeons are ridiculous and everyone should hate them, I love it. Sound is click, slick and pleasant, graphics also. Turn this into an arcade. Fun concept, peace, man, Thanks for the review!!!
