The turn based movement took me some time to understand. I like the retro neon look and feel of the game. The menus are well done. Most people don't bother with a finished menu.
I found i wanted to stand still a couple of turns. Is there a skip turn button?
I think your game fits the theme really well :smile_cat:
The only three critics I have :
- would deserve a full screen mode.
- add a retro epic music.
- reduce the delay between turns to make it more dynamic.
Keep coding :)

I wish the turns were faster or there was a play speed option for when I'm moving around to build energy.
It feels like G is the best option in almost every situation. H helps vs multiple shields but is too risky vs a shielded H enemy since it's not a 1 turn kill.
Good game!

* Other people have mentioned the strange input lag; It would be nice to have some indication (user ship glows, small beep, etc.) that user input had been recognized to prevent people like me from inputting two moves in a row accidentally because I didn't think the first had registered.
* I like how you can crash into other ships, even if it damages you! :D
* the background white noise/snow adds a sense of depth to the screen
* It's a bit strange that the energy counter ticks up on the enemies' turn, seems like it would make more sense to have it be as a result of player movement rather than as a result of enemy movement.
* I like the pink -> green background gradient to contrast the green player that stays mostly on the left side and the green enemies that stay mostly on the right side.
* I wish I could drop multiple bombs. I want to explore the strategy of turning the whole place into a minefield :D
* screen shake is :thumbsup:
Well done!
ps. <3 LibGDX
really had fun with it.
Anyway the game is really fun and looks good, just missing a music.
Well done!
(and if you can rate our game this is very cool, hahahah https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/infiltration-addict )
Simple, efficient and poliched !
My game is not as well finished but he also exploits the turn based, with runner. yours wellcome if yous want try and rait it. ;)
The only drawback is that enemy turn takes a second where your input is ignored, so the controls feel unresponsive for a moment. I would have preferred something closer to Lufia II, where your movement and the enemy one are done at the same time. I assume you programmed their decisions depending on the input of the player not its previous movement.
Nevertheless, it's a really polished and interesting game I really liked. Good work!
