I wonder if I had a younger sister by fangzhangmnm

The game
This is a game inspired by Undertale. I discovered that danmaku (bullet screen) games is a good media to express the madness of main character. So it comes to my mind that a Syuraba (tension between multiple girl friends) is a good idea for this jam's theme. So there it is.
It is a fanart game. I used characters in three sister-themed animes: - Umaru in Himouto - Sagiri in Eromanga Sensei - Shana in Shakugan no Shana
This game was created within TIC-80 fantasy console. Thanks to NesBox

Great game :)
The difficulty ramps up nicely, although it did feel a little slow to get into
I think it would have been better if I had seen the anime and got the references (didn't take away stars for that though, that wouldn't be fair)
Overall, very nice game, I enjoyed it
I like that you took some inspiration from Undertale's bullet hell application. One thing to keep in mind is the fairness of each attack. Specifically, in Shana's case, it's impossible to avoid the attack until you get the timing down; this is something you should avoid. The attack should either be signaled in advance, or be slow enough to be avoidable given reasonable positioning.
For a good example of attack signaling, take a look at Iji; it even has a lot of similar attacks to the ones you use.

I also found the hitbox to be bit smaller than I expected. This is a common issue to contend with (hitbox size vs difficulty), which is why a lot of bullet hells use very small sprite/collision boxes by design.
Love the little flourish on the health bar.
The game seems to have ended for me when Sagiri spawned, she just sat there and followed me; no interactions seemed to advance the game.
Cool pixel art of the anime characters.
The story text intertwined with the gameplay well.
I thought the flame attack looked great and loved the surprise of the giant pencil.
Had great fun playing, difficulty spike seemed quite sudden however.
Overall great work! :yum:
Cheers!
I did that!
:D good job! I just think the sword girl is too hardcore x.x it take me a while to learn her patterns! Good job on the overwall :D
BTW I choose Umaru. (Also prordered a PVC from GSC)
good graphics too. Good job!
into the characters. Nice idea to mix story and gameplay like this but I think the actual pacing could do some work. I kept feeling like gameplay was constantly getting interrupted by the small story blurbs and vice versa. I think it would have been better if you hadn't completely blanked the screen and halted the gameplay for the dialog stuff, instead positioning the text on top of the play area and still allowing the player to move around. I think you actually did that on few "cutscenes" but in my opinion, everything should have been like that.
The gameplay itself as a bullet hell was pretty solid. All the moves were very avoidable by themselves. Except that one with umm, pidgeons? My brain just couldn't handle that one at all. Unlike what @fireslash said, I found Shana's swing attack well telegraphed. Sure I got hit by it few times at first but then learned
the breathing animation stop and attack timing. My biggest gripe was the hitbox, I would have preferred the the full danmaku treatment with a way smaller one. It's hard enough to dodge stuff on traditional bullet hells where you can fly, whole another deal in a platformer. I think the fact that it was a platformer was holding the attack design back a bit. Pretty much like half of the attack patterns were just bullet moving on the ground towards you and you jump over them. Even this more traditional bullet hell pattern needed to be toned down to be pretty much that...

Goes without saying, the game looks awesome. Obviously could have used some sounds and music.
Good job!
the art style is charming, the story is so funny and engaging, gameplay and story follow the theme, girl getting more mad. and more shot is fired at you. I like that it's getting harder and harder(party hard xD), but the last level was not that hard or maybe it was a cut-scene. overall its fun to play thank you for make that game and best of luck.
This was kind of cool! I found the plot pretty underwhelming/uninspired though.
Gameplay overall is a bit weird, don't get me wrong it's the "good" weird, but it didn't live up to its potential I think. Regardless I totally felt jealous of this MC, which is exactly the point of the game I think. Damn mofo.
