Your dream is to be crowned the Most Beautiful Woman of the Year. The only way is to get the right plastic surgery to achieve the pinnacle of beauty. But plastic surgery takes significant coinage -- not to mention you need to pay rent every turn. You'll need to do jobs to make money on your way to ultimate beauty. After surgeries, you may need some time to heal. Going to events with friends is a great way to relax. Holding the space bar will show you the number of turns each part of your face needs to heal completely (if any). Higher end jobs won't want a face too fresh out of surgery! Every so often, Most Beautiful Woman of the Year award will be given and you may be able to claim victory.

Note: The game is ~10MB total, so you may need to wait a bit for the spinner in your browser to stop spinning. You may need to reload if you the see the character, but some of the textures aren't showing up.

Sounds are mostly from freesound.com. Meshes are from Make Human with post processing in Blender.

Haha this game is great! I started getting a hang of the mechanics and changed my strategy halfway through and started making a lot of money. Still haven't won yet, but so far I'm having fun playing. Great game! :)

I don't really know what I was supposed to be doing, but I had fun making a monster lady by enlarging the same feature until I ran out of money.

Awesome concept. I think I got lucky and won on the 3rd try. Way to think outside the box and give players a different perspective. Cool game.

I never understood esthetic surgery, and your game does not help me to :) Nice to see a game with something to say in a gamejam... And letting the theme explaining the meaning of the game is genius!

I did the best I could with the options I was given and only managed to create a monster. I had no idea modeling jobs these days are so focused on the size of one's brow.

Horrifying! I love it. I wasn't very good at the game though, but that didn't feel as important as creating a new beautiful monster face... The event/job/surgery-cards gave me a nice board game-feeling, but then I think it would feel more logical that I would get to keep some cards for the future? (Now imagining some sort of game wiht a clay head you modify, hmmm...)

Ahah, nice one. Luckily, I won on the first try, it never happened again...
Simple and effective gameplay, and nice to see the repercussion of our choices on her face.
About the theme, yes, the more surgeries, the worse face you get. However, in the gameplay, it's the other way around: the more sugeries, the better chances you have to win the price and to get good jobs. From this point of view, I felt a little bit troubled. I even tried not to do any surgery to see if finally, good karma happens to me. Maybe it would have been nice to dig into this aspect, to give more consistency to your message :)
