Cartel hunt! by Bartosz
Cartel Hunt!
You are DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) chief and your job is to kill cartel boss or all cartel members.
Over 100 unidentified people (mostly civilians) does not make it easy. Some sacrafices has to be made - but be careful! Too many civilians or agents will die and its GAME OVER!
Your tools: - Bomb planting [Q key] - Sniper rifle [W key] - Deployment of DEA agents that will do interrogations for you! [E key] - Civil inspections [R key]
Time is ticking - try to find and kill drug cartel boss and not to kill everybody!
Good luck!

The game is really well done especially for a compo! Good job. Great theme match and I love the graphics. Dunno why they remind me of Rimworld. And the same.. people matching as in papers please.. I loved that game and yours has a great potential!
Thanks for pointing out the bugs in Ursa, we are going to fix them today. We overscoped a bit but managed to deliver.
Keep doing great job!
I was aiming a bit for this "Syndicate" type of look and feel.
I really like the style of the graphics! With a bit more depth this could be a really nice game! (Or I just don't understand all of it  ) Nice job!
Thanks for your feedback!
I think most of the fun is derived from finding the quickest strategy. I think the game could have benefited from a slight reduction in scope - 100 citizens is so many! I would have preferred a lower number of civilians and a lower time limit to add some intensity to the situation. When I found the boss, I was almost disappointed, because I didn't expect the game to end when I had so much work left to do!
Good job! :) I had fun.
Wanted to leave player with decision on to how to win the game - i'm just giving meaningful tools - it's up to you how you use them to beat the game!
It also may have been your idea to make you try and keep track of people yourself after you've inspected them, but even if they weren't clones that would be basically impossible - so some indicator that they're a civilian would be nice.
Errr but anyway yeah the couple of times I played it, it was basically four minutes of inspecting followed by thirty seconds of shooting civilians (bombs are a bit hard to use with how people walk around randomly), and I didn't manage to beat it. I think you've got a pretty good concept to start with, just needs to be made a bit more user friendly.
A unique theme,I like the Sniper rifle and the overall feel
Hello! I really enjoyed the game and was into it, I killed the boss and then... Game over, you won! Am I supposed to kill all the cartel members before the boss to avoid this ? :)
I sacrificed too many civilians on my first go - it might have been nice to know what the threshold for losing was. I noticed I couldn't select people underneath the UI in the top-left, and I found it hard to read the 'match' / 'no match' text when using the inspect ability because of the text colour and background contrast. I don't have red/green colourblindness, but an outline on the font might have fixed the readability there. I think I'd also maybe liked to start with a smaller scoped scenario rather than go straight in with 100, but I understand the limitations of a jam/compo. :)
I think something like this could be expanded on. Great work!
Congrats on catching him! ;)
