Your Life, My Currency by Jayometric
A Paper's Please style game where you have to judge as many souls as possible during your shift. You're paid based on performance. Don't send souls to the wrong place! The Devil may try to bribe you as well... Use your Soul Credits to purchase upgrades to make your life easier. Or are you just wasting your precious money? Deal with the Devil or work extra hard to make ends meet! Can you survive the week? Edit: There's audio cues for if your choice was correct! Try to figure out what's what! Edit 2: Posted a web version! Also I made this version more forgiving. (I see your comments!) This only adjusts the amount you lose from your pay for wrong selections,

couldn't get past the first level, but I guess I am a lousy judge of character lol. was a bit unclear what was good and bad since there was no other feedback except for end-day stats, but maybe that's just part of the challenge- it was fun either way!
Anyway, amazing graphics! Very thematic and atmospheric. Loved every minute of it. Wish it was a tad easier. Never got past the first day. Good job
Some of the qualities were a bit arbitary, which made it entertaining. But I didn't get much feedback until the end so I couldn't tell what the game wanted me to pick until too late.
Fun idea!
Haven't manage to beat day 1
Was a rapper -> sin
Ate domestic casts -> sin
Was rich -> sin
Snorted M&Ms -> sin etc. atleast for me xD
I love your game, it is simple, easy to understand, and funny to play even with that simple clicking controller! It reminded me with papers Please, but in more ironically way!
Good graphics for a jam game, nice music and amazing evil laugh! Well-done!

okay, this got a good chuckle out of me. game's easy to understand but hard to master, and has heaps of charm to bounce off of! really love this submission.
- The game has many subjective phrases, like I think people that never showered must go to hell and what is wrong about fondling crabs? xD. It makes us lose to learn the mechanics. I don't know if this is the best approach to teach new players.
- At the first playthrough I did something like 15/3, because of the previously point, and lost. Again, for the first round, getting 80%+ right and losing, it's not so balanced I guess.
- The choice of putting the scan lines was not a good one. It certainly gives the game a personality, a uniqueness. But it worsen the gameplay, which I think is the priority of the players, given the challenging nature of the game.
Things I liked:
- The audio is veeeery good, everything about it. The shop, the title, the sound effects, everything is very pleasant.
- The pixel art works, it's nice. I liked the style too, jesus and lucifer dressed like office people.
- The devil deals were a nice variance to the gameplay, allowing players to choose to take the risk or not. I noticed the catch, that it would be difficult to send EXACTLY X sinners to heaven, and even so I lost haha, it was fun.
- After learning which phrases are bad and which are good, the game becomes much more enjoyable. The mechanic of immediately sending someone to hell/heaven let people that got the idea of the game to just be as good as they can, only limiting themselves by their own hability. I felt that I was doing very good and fully entered in "the flow zone" where I didn't blink and my mouth was a little opened hahahaha. I was just living the game, very difficult to do. I was very satisfied with my performance.
Very fun game, well done.
