It's not a game. It is only a story, tho a poetic and lovely.

Indeed, it's not a game, but a story. And the volume of said story is... about a page?

It tries to have a message, I think, but that goal is completely neutered due to the lack of any mechanics at all, and due to the aforementioned minuteness of the story, as well as its triteness. Nothing new under the sun, I'm afraid, and nothing interesting, either.

Written in Basic though. That should count for something.

Hey, good job doing something in basic. It's not much of a game, but more of an interactive short story.... Which I guess is a game. Interesting way to tie in the theme of the jam. I did experience one bug, when I played through a second time and the main character died single and alone.

If you make this into a trilogy in the future it would be great to see some interaction! You have a nice writing style, can't wait to play through a text adventure of yours in the future. :)

I don't really see how it fits the theme myself, but it is a very nice short story.

Short and simple story with a great message. Not a game, but very lovely.

I appreciated the writing, though as other commenters have pointed out it's smaller in scope than the sort of thing one expects to see as a LD entry (the typical scope of which is already pretty small)

The writing is top-notch, every sentence being carefully crafted in order to deliver an original message. I know how time-consuming this kind of thing can be, and I'm glad you pulled it off in 48 hours ! I also really enjoyed the way you played with the repetitions, regularly switching the rhythm of your story (I'm a sucker for this kind of thing). Being a lover of kinetic novel, there was definitely enough interaction for me, but I guess other players might want a little more on that front. All in all, nice work !

It definitely was nice to play through, quite atmospheric for something without sound actually.

I think that your prose was well written, the use of repetition was cool and your writing style is actually really nice. But I do think that the plot itself was a little generic. In a game that's entirely story based, it's important to make an impact. Ironically for a story that's about disagreements, there was a lack of conflict that I think made the game less interesting.

I do appreciate a significantly different approach from everyone else, it sets you apart really well!

So yeah, the main and only complain here is the absence of gameplay. Add some interaction, there are plenty of wonderful ways to do so not only without hurting the story, but enriching it. The story itself is great, and I especially loved the use of repetition.

Interesting take on the theme, definitely one of the more unique games I have played during the jam. As others have said I think it would work even better with some gameplay, if only to let the user make decisions in some of the interactions. A short experience with a nice story!

Good use of repetition, and your choice to not wipe the screen when using repetition was poignant. Very interesting way to deliver this story.

Cool concept! I've worked with this type of coding before, maybe if you attempt this type of project again you should allow the player to make choices affecting the story. However, the story is very nice and poetic. Overall great Job!

We would appreciate it if you came and rated our game here to!
