It's made with unity, why no WebGL version?
People have already commented on the low poly, white and faded plus flat bold colors graphics and they indeed look very cool. The audio is also pretty minimal, but I think that's to a detriment--it's sort of difficult to accurately tell when you've hit something or when you've been hit since there isn't a ton of feedback. I also think there could be more towards the theme, since "the game gets harder the longer you play it" is a pretty common mechanic even outside of this LD.
Controls feel very good! I'm not sure if it was on purpose, but I enjoy how I can infinitely air strafe around, and shooting feels precise enough. I also do like the scattered crates around the base--took me a while to realize that they could successfully be used as cover.
(Edit: you are probably interested to know that there is a UI glitch -health of the planes- when i aim with the sniper-looking gun)
Regardless, the game looks fantastic, the sound effects are decent, and the gameplay itself is great. Congratulations :)
The game looks very polished, the menus, signs and feedbacks for the UI, everything's looking great and is user friendly.
The graphics are impressive and you really were able to create a coherent universe, the models had the same graphic style etc, well done
The gameplay works fine too, it's a simple shooting mechanic but still you have diffrent types of weapons that make it diverse
The only problem I had was whis the reaload mechanic, I assumed it was "R" to reaload but it seems like reloading isn't immediate, so I thought pressing R wasn't doing anything at first
You did well, congrats again =)
I like the variety of enemies and that there's some difference between the weapons. I particularly liked the sniper, and was impressed that it actually had a scope function. Just fantastic. A bit off that these are the weapons of choice to fight against planes, bombers and zeppelins, but I'll take it.
Themewise... well, it's just generic "difficulty ramps up" gameplay. Wouldn't say it's the best use of the theme. You might as well just ignore it and focus on showing off the game for what it is. An objective defense scenario with multiple guns against an unstoppable airstrike.
Great job there. [My team](twitter.com/whalesandgames) wishes you the best for your future projects! Cheers! :whale:
