Boomstick Leaper by boumusic

Hey,
This is my 2nd solo game, made in 48hrs for LD40.
It's pretty simple. Kill enemies and collect Power-Ups.
The more power-ups you get, the more damage you inflict, but the more knockback the weapon has.
Enemies get more resistant as time goes, so you better go for those Power-Ups!
Good luck & Have fun!!
Music by a good friend of mine, Guilhem "Guillermo" D'Humières

On the games page you say that your friend made the music however - compo entries must be only content you alone created during the 48 hours. Jam entries you can use assets by others, but should opt-out of that category for judging (in this case, audio).

But overall in the beginning it played well and the slow-mo is super freaking awesome!
The only complaint I can think of is that you didn't make the music yourself. It makes sense that you opted out of the audio category, but it also influences things like mood/humor/feel of the game, and it's not really fair to other participants who had to spend time composing music themselves.
That being said, I still enjoyed the heck out of this game! Way to go making a game that is complete and feels this good within only 48 hours!
Firing that shotgun just feels so satisfying. :Kreygasm:
I think you can add some healing buff and extend of map (because after much time and with big gun level you just sprint in bounds of map) to increase game time.
So for LD it's greate job I think, Cheer!
[+] Pretty impactful feel on the boomstick
[-] The border obscured enemies at times
[-] framerate drops when there was too much on the screen.
Nice screenshake & effects to make the 'kick' work! :)
