The Last Drop by Fiiction

Introduction
Imagine a lonely water sprite living in a borderless desert... Luckily you have the plants to keep you company. However, the plants needs water to grow up, and the only water source is YOUR OWN BODY. What's more, you have to defend your garden from the endless monsters in the night, and your only weapon is also the liquid inside you. How long can you survive, when the only resource is the current inside you?
Plant seeds into the soil, water them, and they will bear fruits in the following days. The fruits can either rehydrate the water sprite or give you permanent buffs. Defeat the monsters in the night to find more seeds.
How to Play
In the Days: Use WASD to move. Move near a block of soil to plant seeds. You should water them so that they can bear fruits in the following days. CLICK THE CLOCK in the bottom-right, when you are ready, to enter the night.
In the Nights: Use WASD to move. Hold left mouse button to shoot bullets. Click right mouse button to throw bombs towards the cursor.

Tips
Use right click wisely. Water bomb can do AOE damage but will cost you considerable health in the beginning period.
Don't water all the seeds you have. Make sure you have a good health bar for the night fight.
100 HP is not maximum health. The character have 3 states with different full health.
The Ghost is invincible before it splits. Sorry, maybe it's a bug that we have no art effect to show this. If it come near enough to you it will split. Please let it split first then attack it.

I enjoyed the whole game loop, although it would have been nice if you could use your water to 'convert' the enemies in good plants since they look like dried up tree monsters.
The music transition from day to night was amazing.
-I understand that the mechanic of "can´t shoot" with 1HP is there for players to not kill them self, but when you end up with that one HP it´s kidna frustrating to just kill your self and not have anything to save you, since with 1HP you not dead and so its not game over technicly.
=Easy save would be, when you HP reach 1 it starts counter and till that counter reach 0 you need to survive.
Othervise it was quite good on the fun part and an amazing on the graphic part. Even thou song was repeting it selfe it wasn´t anoying, but mabye to add sound to watering or hitting enemy, would not be bad.
Over all, taking the time to count, it was realy good game.
My only criticism was that the game's opening waves of enemies could be a bit faster. Want the first few loops to be easy, but not trivial!
I really appreciate the music, specifically the elegant transition between the day and night music.
Like someone already mentioned ending up at 1 HP at night is quite frustrating and since it can happen quite easily. Would've loved to be able to restart the day instead of starting all over again.
Not enough training and a smoother start. Sometimes from 1 wave you get 3 seeds and plant everything. There is no water left and you will die at night. It is inevitable, you know about it and you can do nothing. Not enough mechanic to make up your water. Risky or slow.
It is very difficult to hit the trees - you need to aim at the shadow. It's complicated. It is worth making the first enemies bigger, rounder.
The game is beautiful, I hope you finish it)
The music transition is amazing!!
For some reason reminded the game "Don't starve".
Also, the way the enemies stagger when they walk was a nice touch.
Seriously though, good job. The art is wonderful, The music fits perfectly and I love how it dynamically changes when night begins. I legitimately got hyped when it first happened.
The combat is pretty satisfying, But I think the hit boxes are a bit wonky. I have an easier time hitting an enemy when I'm above them. But I think you nailed the balancing. on my 7th day I barely survived with 4 health. I also didn't know there was a bomb attack. The game has some pretty simple controls so a tutorial isn't necessary. Bu I think you should've mentioned the bomb attack in game.
Over all, great game and great interpretation of the theme. Geeat job!
I lived for 16 days until I was tired)) In this game I played longer than any other!
The game is challenging and well balanced. Good job!
Excellent job!!!
- The gray monster seems to be invincible before he splits himself. I expected that I could kill him if I maintain distance and deal damage equivalent to killing all the little blobs, but I was just wasting life =(.
- The initial learning curve and addition of mechanics was very well done, but after you reached full ATK, there was no purpose to use the red seed. I wasted some life to see if they would add more things, but no. Ended up with 20+ red seeds. I think it would be better if the game tracked the ATK bar and when you completed it, it stopped droping red seeds and went right to the yellow ones.
- After reaching full Cost upgrades the game should stop, in my opinion. Because there was nothing more to do. The game was so fun, engaging and happy! After getting all buffs, you just repeat the same things over and over. I reached wave 25 and stopped out of boredom. It left a bitter taste. =(
Things I liked:
- The music is astonishing, it's absurd how people can make things so good like this in so little time!! I intend to learn music some day and this is what I want to do, amazing!
- The art and animations are really, really good too! Little details like the bubble exploding on contact, very well done, really.
- The monsters walking pattern is simple but works very well! The fights were challenging.
- The bomb mechanic together with the different move speeds of the enemies were very smart. It was like a mini-game to mob them and throw the bomb. See them all dying because you calculated it correctly is very satisfying!
- The mix between farming and fighting was very well done too, adds variety.
Overall, one of the best jam games I've played, congratulations!
Thanks for playing! It's pleasantly surprised to see someone survive for more than 20 days, greatly appreciate.
Actually the red seed should only buff you for only one night, and the yellow seed will give you some 'skill points' that let you use your ultra skill srveral times, every state of player has different ultra skill. The true learning curve is how player get into the next state.
However you can see that there even dosen't exist a single ultra skill, all states of player just have different full health. So we make this simple red and green seeds mechanics. In fact in the last few hours before deadline we just throw all of enemys and plants into the game. I think we compresss our idea into a playable game, but not a completed game.So yesterday we decided to keep on this project, to make it a real game!
I don't think that the grey enemy should be invincible before it splits, or it should be obvious that your attacks do no damage to it.
I could see this becoming really engaging if you had more things to build at day, and more abilities at night. Some tower defense mechanics feel like they'd be right at home here.
Great work!
