Aqueduct Architect by Multitudes22

[raw]
made by Multitudes22 for LD36 (COMPO)
RECOMMEND downloadable version or fullscreen web version to small web version; it gets really crowded in such a small window.

My first Ludum Dare game! I'm very proud of Aqueduct Architect, and I plan on working on it more after LD is over. Scroll down on itch.io for downloadable versions and source code.

I enjoyed the graphics and the controls were easy to use. I didn't find the gameplay too interesting or challenging though.

The music and graphics are enjoyable. But I don't think the game is very fun to play

I enjoyed this much more than I thought I would.. There is a strange satisfaction in getting the parts to fit together..

Very fun and well-made game for just 2 days! Good work! I loved the puzzles.

Oh no! 404 on the embed! Good polish on the game, but I think it might need a little more something to allow the difficulty to extend past what's here.

Really enjoyed the music. The interface was a bit cumbersome but the concept was solid. Would have loved to see the water flow after solving a puzzle.

Great theme implementation - nice game mechanics, too.

The version on this page gives me a 404.
The web link works though.
The puzzle's idea just doesn't really appeal to me.
Also, try making your own music instead of using abundant-music. I could tell right when I started the game, something was weird with the music. .-.

One more thing, the controls weren't very easy to use.

I like the idea, kind of like those pipe games but with an added dimension. A small detail, but it would have been satisfying to have an animation play at the end where the water goes through the pipes.

Well done. Would have been nice to have Buttons on the bottom for each type of segment (in addition to the keyboard binding)

Was fun to play. :)
Only issue I encountered was that the music turned itself on again after changing levels.

That's a very good use of the theme. I like the placing mechanics, reminds me of building water slides in rollercoaster tycoon. Too bad that the water does not flow in the end, that would have been nice. Also great music!

The play button above gives a 404!

but I followed the itch link and found it, and it was one of my faves this ld. as a former rollercoaster tycoon dev, it gave me satisfying nostalgic flashbacks, and was surprisingly puzzley.

Master Aqueduct Architect of All of Rome! I won't promise to defend the honour of all architects out there, though I must say it was a really fun game! :)

Nice music and love the building! In usability I'd enjoy if after I built a piece that the next piece I got was the same one as the one I built, so I don't have to get back to the last construction again. I'd also love to be able to move the camera more freely somehow.

Cool game and well implemented, thanks! :)

@tenpn Funnily enough, I was exactly a day old when the first rollercoaster tycoon came out!

@oskardevelopment Haha thank you very much! Could you explain what your comment about usability refers to? I'm not sure I understand. Thanks!

@Multitudes22 I meant that if after construction, I would've liked if the next piece I can build with would stay the same (not change so I had to use 'C' to get the same piece again). :) Thanks for the game!

Neat! I don't have a mousewheel, just my Mac touchpad gestures, so the sensitivity on rotating stuff was a bit manic (again, a nice clicking scrollwheel would be different). Of course I read later that you can also use Z and C....

Very nice game! The puzzles are great and the graphics are also very clear and the controls are intuitive. We played this as a two-player game, one controlling the mouse and one the keyboard, which was quite some fun. The music seems a little bit repetitive and it would be nice if mute would stay the same even on a level change (I know this can be quite hard using unity)

This game is a nice relaxing puzzle :)! Fun to play and easy to use controls if you play from PC. Nice Job !

I like this game a lot. I came up with this same idea myself, but I'm glad I didn't do it because you way out did anything I could have done.

My only suggestion is for the water to actually flow down the aqueduct.
