Sacrifices by Thijs Tak

Hello Priest,

Your god has bestowed you with the sacred task to control the population of the land. You must do this by killing the correct type of population. You loose the game if you die or if one of the population types goes extinct. In order to prevent extinction you must decrease the number of the natural enemies of the type that is about to go extinct. You can regain health by sacrificing corpses.

Foodchain order: Chickens eat: Vegetables Humans eat: Vegetables, Chickens, Cows and Wolves Wolfs eat: Chickens, Cows and Humans Cows eat Vegatables

O and watch out for the demons....

Use the following commands to control the population:

Camera rotation: A & D or Left & Right arrow key Camera zoom: Mouse scrollwheel Walk to position: Left mouse click on destination Attack target: Right mouse click on target Sacrifice: Left mouse click on corpse

Good game! Very large map however, might wanna add a sprint function in the future?

Read the instructions... got an idea of what I need to do.

Started watching the population numbers. Noticed wolves were getting a bit out of control and wanted to rim them a bit...

Got ambushed and killed by a bunch of... Demons? Wait, what demons??? They were not mentioned it the rules.

The controls were also a bit... nonintutive. Usually it's WSAD to move ant mouse to looks. Not point-click to move and WSAD to look...

Aslo as mentioned above the mab is kind of too big and it's hard to find the species you are supposed to kill.

@hilvon Thank you for your feedback, just as a comment, the tutorial did actually state: 'O and watch out for the demons….' ;)
As for the controls you might be right, we first wanted click only and move the camera automatically but due to time lag we decided to quickly implement keys to rotate.

A very cool concept! But I got a little bit lost. Keep going making games though

Humans Eat: Wolves
Wolves Eat: Humans

Isn't the circle of life beautiful?

Great use of the theme, I also really felt that I had a tangible impact on the ecosystem and that the ecosystem was internally consistent, so great work there. But my god, using the A & D keys to spin the camera as well as click to move all in a third person perspective? I don't think you could have broken more conventions if you'd tried!. I spent the first 30 seconds running in a circle!

I love this game so much! It feels so open world and the soundtrack is amazing and peaceful; playing it was a very nice experience. I had to put it down because of the movement controls. With the point and click movement, moving is too slow and boring, and it makes moving more of a hassle than something fun to do. Can you please add "WASD" move controls and maybe "mouse" camera controls? A run/sprint button would also be really nice to have, so you could quickly move from environment to environment. This would make the game so much more enjoyable for me, and if the controls were fixed, I can imagine myself sitting down and playing it for hours. If you change the controls, can you please let me know, because I would love to redownload it!

I think it is difficult to understand the connection between your actions and the fluctuations of the population. Sometimes I run out of vegetables before I reach the village. Sometimes I run out of cows, although I spend all game by killing their enemies.

But your ingame models and game world look very funny, I love it :D

The controls felt backwards to me, as has already been mentioned. But I loved the visuals and over all feel of the game.

What a map! Good game with a solid gameplay. Maybe you could improve movements. Great use of the theme. You deserve more ratings. Well done. Thank you. I wish you the best developing your project ++

Things that were nice: Attack animations and particle effects, sound fits the game, graphics were simple but nice in a low poly sort of way, great idea for the theme.

Things that were not so nice: controls were a bit weird (would have preferred WASD keys for movement)

Overall : Nice game!

I liked the concept a lot!
A few things I would "fast" improve:
- Start the game closer to the action
- Camera zoom. I think far camera is better always so no need to let me have the control.
- Make the map smaller, like a lot more smaller
- Give more value to the sacrifice concept (Design). Now it doesn't feel very important

Good Job!
