This is easily my favourite entry so far! The presentation was nothing short of fantastic and the dialogue was genuinely funny and thought-provoking. I love the premise, makes me want to see an actual story or game about it.

Really impressive graphics for a compo game. It's probably the best example I've seen of how to set a consistent mood.

I liked the idea of the internal dialogue, but at times my eyes didn't register that something had appeared in that corner until I'd already clicked past it. Putting another dialogue box behind it would really help it to pop (unless you're deliberately trying to hide it).

I'm not sure if I reached the end or if I encountered a bug. There was an engine sound and then the screen turned black.

Wow. Really nice presentation, you definitely made the absolute most of the limited time. Very interesting take on the theme, and also very refreshing to see a submission that relies heavily on writing that's actually well-executed.

I love the dialogue system in this. The way the thoughts pop up in the upper right is really inventive and easy to miss. Loved how it's laid out so you slowly understand what happened.

I loved the writing in this game, all of it felt natural from start to finish. The clean art style is also really nice to look at. It would have been nice to see branching dialogue trees, but it is understandable with time restraints and all. And the written thoughts on the corner of the screen is very easily missed.
I have also encountered some kind of bug where the screen goes black after the sound of a car starting (unless that was supposed to be the end of the game).

it looks like a teaser prototype for bigger project and i like it. If you will make a full story game i would defenitely play it. Thank you Swanijam, very cool!

two people have mentioned that they thought the end of the game was a bug so I'll clarify: it's totally the end of the game, lol

Not biased at all but, I think this game was pretty darn rad :sunglasses:

The art style and sparse use of audio really adds to the atmosphere of the game. I like how subtly the inner thoughts were hidden in a corner, like that little tiny voice inside your head. I only wish they wouldn't appear after the dialogue bubble was finished displaying, because that left them vulnerable to accidental clicks. I missed out on a few by mistake and even restarted at one point to try and catch them all, they were so much fun to read.

I love the art and espacially the sound! There are bugs with the camera when you are facing the sky or your feet.

It was really a cool experience, but I really thought the game bugged at the end. Maybe you should have just litteraly made the game exit itself here. Otherwise, it was a really interesting story with cute visuals and good storytelling.

Very impressive for the amount of time. You could probably create a whole Life is Strange-like game out of this. There were a couple of typos, but overall it was pretty nice!

I think this is the most unique game I've played so far. I did see the same bugs as some other people like looking all the way down would rotate me and you could see the top and bottom of the black screens. making the panels xy scale 1.1 would probably fix it. I liked how I didn't realize the white text in the top right was thoughts at first. Super creative. Dialog felt really good.

I couldn't play it... Can you please add Linux or HTML5 builds? Looks like a nice game, but Wine has some problems with Unity graphics.

I really enjoyed this. The graphics work great, I liked the bits and pieces of story, the control player's thoughts showing in the upper corner, the strange surreal feel behind it all... Everything gelled very well.

And given the short amount it took to make, I think it achieved everything it set out to do. Good job!

The setting of the story is interesting, i like that your friend is lying down on the car. It's that kind of details that make the story immersive i think. It's hard to create a story this short and make it work. Good entry.

Fantastic as always. As you've probably seen in our stream, I do agree with a feedback that the shoot button was a bit extraneous given the game auto-aimed anyway. Some of the bullet patterns were a bit tough, and I would have appreciated a slight increase in health, but I did eventually defeat all 4 bosses. I felt like more could have been done with sacrificing time; sure, it's a joke in this game, but imagine testing the player by genuinely adding that requirement mid-boss fight (or after you die).
