Beetle Morphosis by Recursiveanomaly
Journal Entry - April 18, 1887
In these distant and mysterious lands of the Orient, biological curiosities are everywhere. The most remarkable are the fantastic shape-shifting beetles who fight endlessly for dominance. Those who lose return to cocoons, and reemerge transformed into wholly new species only to begin the struggle anew!
------------------------------------------------------
Controls:
Up Arrow or W or Space bar: Jump Forward
Left Arrow or A: Turn Left
Right Arrow or D: Turn Right
Back Arrow or S: Back Up
Your beetle is invulnerable from the front, yet can easily be hurt from behind!
The game is a online beetle death match.
Beetles with RED names are other people playing online! Beetles with BLACK names are bots.
The base art is in public domain from the Internet Archive. We chopped it up, mixed it up, and animated it! Since we didn't create it from scratch, we have opted out of being judged on Graphics. We ask instead for you to consider the great mood we were able to create with this fantastic art! https://www.flickr.com/photos/internetarchivebookimages/
