The acceleration of the ship was a bit too fast too control. I ended up just shooting randomly. Love that the eyes follow the ship.

Simple game but well done, I liked the art also, the "eye thing" was really cool, good job!

Nice little game! Always fun to fly around, asteroids-style. The music is so intense which pairs a little strangely with the action on screen. The music stopping when you die is a nice touch too. Nice work.

I agree that the acceleration was a bit wonky. I think it would have been nice to implement a "brake" or retro rockets, so that you can slow down your ship.

I liked the sound effects. They were silly. :D

Nice classic asteroids-style game is never wrong! Good touch with the faces/eyes! I'm also glad you could restart on the level where you died, it would have beeen waaay to hard for me otherwise. =)

Nice, another screen wrap game! I was able to beat many levels using the same tactic of strafing around them using the wrap. Had fun during my time with it. Thanks!

I had quite a lot of fun with it. Managed to reach Level 8 before giving up.

It seems that (intentionally or unintentionally) the strategy is not to accelerate too much, as it makes the ship very difficult to control. Maybe there should be way to slow down (down key) like in the original Asteroids game?

I was surprised at the sudden music at around Level 5.

Overall, this could be a new twist to the classic Asteroids game! Nice job.

@azure2s @jeremy-wolf @andreas-ragen-ayal To slow down, you rotate to the opposite direction and press forward. I probably should have put that in the instructions. The original asteroids had Rotate Left, Rotate Right, Thrust, Fire and Hyperspace buttons. Yes, controlling the speed is part of the challenge although it's not intended to be frustrating. A light touch definitely helps.

@azure2s There was supposed to be music playing on each level, not just 5. Don't know what happened there. Were you playing on a Mac?

I liked the movement!I liked the music! I think what would have improved it for me was more enemy types (e.g. ones that move, or ones that fire projectiles that track you or something like that), and a certain number of lives before the game ends. The Asteroids theme is always pretty cool and it was a fun experience

I enjoyed playing it and found myself playing for a while. Maybe some more enemies would help to make it more intersting as well as some powerups.

A fun game, but it has some flaws. Why use mouse button to shoot in a keyboard game? I found it rather inconvenient. Another thing, a success strategy is spamming the fire button as fast as possible. It would be better to have a fixed firing speed when holding the fire button. I would like to play the game again with these issues fixed!

Very interesting game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 40 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dENfZnM6OQM
