You like golf, right? Everybody likes golf, shut up. And you like explosions, right? And you like piggies no doubt whatsoever. Therefore you will be thrilled to know that, at this very moment, if you act now, you can experience all three in one gigantic juicy package in the epic new golf-like explosion and pig simulation gaming extravaganza Exploding Golf, with Lovable Piggies.

The Goal: In each level, hit the WHITE ball in order to get the RED ball into the HOLE. Hit the Z button to explode the WHITE ball, should that seem prudent to you in a given circumstance. Oh and don't kill any pigs. Easy.

Yes, golf is fun, and piggies are adorable, but with all these explosions around the more you have, the worse it is.

Created from scratch in 48 hours for Ludum Dare 40. Don't doubt it.

Made with the glorious pico-8, which you really must try if you're into this kind of thing. (The Ludum Dare kind of thing).

I love this! Really impressed with the level design for 48 hours. Good difficulty tuning too; it was just easy enough that I knew I *could* beat each level, but I had to try a bunch to get it.

Took me a while to figure out I needed to press the 'z' key. It looked more like an 'o' strangely enough.

I think this is the first ld40 game I get through all missions. Near perfect. So pity that doesn't fit the topic that well. But pico8! Who cares
I found a bug (feature), white ball doesn't fall into the hole (-_-).
I thought it was cat until I saw the instruction text...

**THE PIG EARS WERE PERFECT!** Great little golf game with an emphasis on ball control. Love the humor and lighthearted destruction of the little snorters. Good work!

Wow that was a lovely game! The aesthetic works very well and the game is very fun. I would definitely like to see this game expanded. I don't have much in the form of constructive criticism, which is a testament to how well you put together a fun game. The only think I had issue was it took me a moment to figure out the correct button to use to make a shot the symbol looked like a 0 but it ended up being Z. Didn't take long to figure it out. Thanks for the fun evening after a long day!

PS: Only six piggies destroyed. I think that was rather humane overall.

Super fun game! The only problem I had with it was that the controls felt a bit weird. It would have been cool if you'd be able to use the mouse instead of the arrows to aim and shoot. Other than that, it's a really well made game, and I really enjoyed playing it! Well done!

One of the best I've played yet. The graphics were very charming, and the game mechanic was a fascinating twist on top-down mini-golf. The music was nice. I completed with 79 shots taken, and murdered my fair share of piggies. I probably would have preferred mouse controls as well, but the keyboard worked fine, and was better for making tiny adjustments to a shot. :grin:

Really great (and addictive game), congrats. I was originally gonna do something similar (but more like a pool table with champagne glasses to avoid), but your original idea is MUCH more fun! :smile:

Not too difficult but not too easy balanced level of difficulty which makes a lot of fun also music is so enjoyable

Well balanced, good amount of mechanics that vary and progress in difficulty. Great overall. Only problem: ran out of levels :(

Oh my God, thank you so much for making a game that's beautiful, simple, and fun. There are so many games this LD that are so freakin' complicated it's taking me like 15 minutes just to learn the controls. But this... this is a thing of beauty. The rules and the controls are instantly intuitive and the difficulty scales perfectly. All I can say is thank you.

Great entry! The explosion mechanic is a cool twist on the basic golf puzzle, and there's a nice level of polish to this. It'd be interesting to see a more fleshed out version of this with even more mechanics!

- Exploding the cue ball seemed a bit too powerful and let me solve levels in ways that didn't feel intentional at all: e.g. on level 7, you can simply shoot directly into the center island and then explode the red ball into the hole.
- The connection to theme was fairly loose
- I found myself getting a bit turned around on the controls pretty often; I got through it without too much issue but I do wonder if having it simply move the hit point instead using a polar system would be a bit more intuitive
- I killed too many piggies :(

Very clever take on mini-golf games! Also nice little puzzle atmosphere in having to do it in one shot. It was fun making plans and then executing them, though sometimes I had to redo the same plan a bit too many times with small changes until it worked. Really cute and fitting graphics + music!

Nice job! I accidentally murdered I think 15 piggies. The explosions usually helped me in a way I didn't expect but it was still cool it see it get the ball in the hole. The levels with cascading explosions were nice.

Nice one! Music and visuals fit very well together, and overall it seemed very polished. Some of my wins did feel a bit random, but all in all I liked it.
