Rattletrap VR is a virtual reality shooter for both HTC Vive and Oculus Rift + Touch. Defend your high-maintenance clunker from swarms of Leechbots that try to eat your ship's systems. Keep them off your hull and maintain your machinery. But beware, the more Leechbots you get stuck to your hull, the faster your ship's systems will fail.

As we are prone to VR-Sickness, we designed this game with room-scale in mind. You can explore the entire ship without artificial walking, if you have a play area of at least 2.5m x 2.5m (8.25' x 8.25'). We have also implemented Smooth and Snap Locomotion if you want to play in Standing Mode.

It is a pity that I don't own a VR set. I would love to try out this game.

I need to revive my Rift (ha-ha) sometime soon and try out those VR-Games, they definitely need some love! Always a bit stressful to get it running during the workweek (have to move my Couch), but I'll surely try before the voting time runs out xD

This was really well done... worked great with my Vive :-) Glad I was able to try it out. My team thought about making a VR game but decided it'd be too hard. Definitely don't think we would've been able to make something as polished as this one. Good job!

Really good game, with good gameplay and good polish.

2.5m x 2.5m is a really big area, my room wasn't big enough for full experience, so movements was a bit chaotic.

Tested it today with hardware of friends. This is a great game with lots of fun. It is real fun to shoot this nasty robots while you have realy to pick up the stuff they destroyed. You have to be fast. I realy like you can play it in a room without teleporting, it feels so ... real.

**Did I heard VR!** I also made a VR game for this jam. You should definitely try it (https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/bright-vision)

Let me put my Rift and try this. I'll rate it tomorrow.

Impressively polished VR game for a jam, was lots of fun running around shooting bots and keeping the ship from breaking down. I didn't have enough space for roomscale, but the artificial locomotion worked well and I was able to survive for quite a while. Great game!

Hello, I am sorry, I don't own a VR headset, but I have read your feed post and I think that even though not many people don't own a VR headset, more people would see your game if you rated more games of other people (common LD policy)

So please, if you really want your game to be prioritized by the website, make sure your [feedback given]:[feedback received] ratio is higher than it is right now! :)

Fellow LD jammer :)

Awesome! I really loved it and I was into it after only a few minutes. It took me about a couple minutes to understand the gameplay. I played three games and they were all greater than the previous. Great execution, good gameplay and balancing, and a very good use of the VR. I hope I have more than 3m² of room. I loved spotting and shooting on leechbots.
5 stars!!!

Awesome game! Got 7 minutes, I'm pretty bad

It really sucks that you've made this amazing game but most people can't play it but for a 72 hour jam, to make a VR game in team of 2, I can't commend you enough, absolutely well done! Easily one of my most favorite games this jam! :relaxed:

I wish the rating system took stuff like this into consideration otherwise all we'd get are simple browser games just because they'll get more attention. But honestly, you gotta find the right Jam for VR

Don't feel too upset about it, this is an amazing accomplishment! Well done!

Excellent. The various ways you have to interact with your ship are all very engaging (having the cables above your head was particularly good). Shooting feels nice and snappy.
