I liked that game (even I couldn't beat the last level :( )
Good ideas in it, easy to play and nice ambient music.

Nice game.

Tried to finish the last level without sacrificing everything, but couldn't figure it out... No matter how I position the fighter screens, enough enemy missle get through to blow me up before enemy runs out of missles, and it looks like you need to have all your missles intact to take down this bugger... ((Though you might still end up one vollye short... devs might just be crue...))

@1257th-or-nothing Thank you for your feedback. To beat the last level, you have to keep the theme in mind. ;)

@hilvon If you couldn't figure out the last level, you didn't sacrifice **everything**. :) Thanks for the feedback.

@skosnowich Well.. I did finish the level, but I then replayed it a dozen times to see if I can beat it without resorting to this...

cool game! Simple enough, the atmosphere and the flow of gameplay are very good, but the last level seemed very difficult)

Love the apocalyptic end and also, small thing but the rocket and missile impact sounds are excellent and add a real sense of scale. Great work!

I'll admit, it wasn't until I read the comments that I figured out how to beat the last level. Even if I managed to weather the storm of missiles until the station's ammo ran out, I never had enough ammo left to put a dent in it, and the fighters lasers seemed so pitfully inaddequate to thin out the missile storm. But in the end, I had gotten the game's genre wrong. Well played sir.

I loved the ending! I kept trying it afterwards though to see if it is possible to beat without dive bombing! Great job on the visuals and sound design. I loved the use of fighter squadrons to dive bomb as well.

One thing I would have liked would to be able to control multiple squadrons at onces. Perhaps Shift + 1-9 to select multiple squads. Anyway, you did a great job and I enjoyed the level progression!

Wow, very nice! I love the physics and also the minimalist graphics and sounds. You can iterate on the controls a bit, we have a similar problem (with controls not being totally final). Good job! Now I'm trying to finish the fourth level.

EDIT: Aha, I had to ram it :D

I like it. Limited ammo and strategy how to win. wish there is mini pause to move the little fighter in position though.. love the twist ending. ![ship.PNG](///raw/247/9/z/1f94e.png) but i still have my people left...

@royur Well that actually wasn't supposed to happen. So very good job! :D We thought about adding an alternative ending, but were thinking that this was impossible.

By 'mini pause' you meant a way to manually pause the game to plan the fighter movements, or a bigger pause in the beginning of each level?

Pretty fun game, although I never really seemed to get any good use out of the interceptors. Moving around and firing barrages of missiles kept me entertained right up until the end,

From the comments it seems like I was supposed to ram the last station to win. However, since I tried that in the very first level and it caused me to fail, I specifically avoided it.

Never quite got the hang of the fighters, which wasn't helped by the fact that the Unity player didn't properly intercept middle clicks so I got the 2-D scroller in Firefox when I clicked.

Still, the idea of trading volleys of missiles while maneuvering your ship and your fighters is a good one. The barrages of missiles remind me a lot of old sci-fi anime where ships would shoot out these long rows of parallel missiles with long vapor trails.

Definitely would be a good idea, as others mentioned, to establish earlier that ramming is a legitimate mechanic. I wouldn't have tried it in the final level if I hadn't read the comments. Like another commenter, I tried it early on but failed so I didn't do it again.
