ThoseBloodyGoblins by mikouaji
Hello!
This is my first ludum dare :)
First game I made in 6-7 years and first one done in Godot.
Made a game where you try to survive some nasty goblins in the woods. The goal is to get the highest score by killing goblins and destroying their nests.
When you level up you can either regenerate your health or upgrade, but the upgrade comes with a cost! (If your health low you will be healed automatically)
You can play on Windows or Linux, there is also a link to the source.
As this was my first time, I know there are mistakes but I learned a lot. Unfortunately I didn't have time to ad a vicotry screen (didnt win while testing :( ).
I'm not the best artist so the graphics are meh, and the sound and animations are almost non-existent :stuckouttonguewinkingeye:
Hope you enjoy it, I find it quite challenging, specially when you spawn near a nest.

Playing the game very much feels like being an outcast in the wilderness, which is a good thing. First I was a bit overwhelmed by the controls, but the detailed menu helps a lot!
It took me a few tries to figure out, what upgrades work best for me, but I felt a sense of progression after a few tries.
The world border is really weird, It wouldve been better to have an invisible wall there.
The enemies are programmed in really solid though, props for that.
And finally the sounds... I got jumpscared by the attack animation, and the other sounds, really, are just awful. I dont want to be rude, but it wouldve been better without them. Practice a little bit on sounde design is my suggestion.
I liked the art style, added a bit to the playfullness of the game. Good job!
