Interesting idea. Use Canvas scaler component on your canvas to make your game UI work in different resolutions.

Pretty fun, but the blue/black weasels were very easy to catch against the walls of the cave.

Would be much improved with any sounds, even if they were just small voice recordings or similar that could be done very quickly. I know that you disabled voting on sound, just mentioning because it really does affect the whole experience.

Charming game! I finished it without the gun because shooting felt like throwing away money. But it was fun anyway. And the upgrades are so good. Nothing beats the feeling of catching three of those red bastards with one net >:D
Well, to be honest I did use the gun, after all the upgrades I just shot some of them. Hahaha, die!
Walking was a bit tedious, maybe the level was too big. But the game was short so it was fine in the end. Inserting the gems at the end was very exciting.

Cool graphics and idea. Really liked the old weasel :). I found a shortcut to get to the yellow gem, with max jump you can jump over the mountain near spawn!

Could seriously use some sound effects, I think it would be so cool to hear the little weasels skittering around.

I didn't see a reason to use the gun too much, I just trapped the weasels in a corner and let the net do the work. That seemed to work well, only sometimes the crafty little bastards would climb the wall!

Impressive amount of 3D content for compo!

The weasel models and animations are cute! I could not bring myself to shoot any of them. The shop upgrades didn't feel meaningless, which is good. I also rather liked the gem hunt. I spent a few minutes trying to make the first set of pillar jumps without the boot upgrade, so when I did get it, it gave me a sense of satisfaction. That there was something at all to get in the previously inaccessible areas was good design.

Like some of the others, I didn't see much use for the gun. I imagine much of the time went into creating the environment, but this game would feel even better with audio. Nothing quite like a developer doing their best weasel noise. What do they even sound like? I haven't spent much time around weasels. It's a shortcoming in my life that this game has helped fill.

Quite a lot of ground to explore for a Compo game, well done!

Got all four gems!

Nice map, it was surprisingly large, interesting, and connected for a compo game. I liked how upgrades were required to explore new areas.

It was easy to get disoriented and forget which direction the shop was; a map, indicator, or other extra piece might have helped with that.

Nice submission!

I unraveled the mystery of the ancient artifact! Had fun playing through. The progression was well thought out. When I started I was hardly able to catch brown weasels, but by the end none could escape my net.

Impressive compo entry!

Got the gems! Awesome graphics and gameplay, reminds me of good old Ape Escape with catching animals and Spyro with all those gems. Very nostalgic. Red weasels were really challenging, especially when they start flying near walls, spent quite some time on them. I was so happy that blue ones were easy catch. The map is great, haven't expected it to be so large and well-designed. A little bit of sounds would make the game perfect. And I was hoping for some prank in the end, the grey weasel taking over the world or smth. Text about unrevaling the mystery was somehow not so rewarding.

Overall, really impressive work!

Nice entry! Some texture on the terrain or land features would be nice, just to easily tell where you are on the map :)

Great job! Larger game than I expected and it was pretty fun to play.
