Dark Lords of Sacrifice by MadBear Gang
In this game, each player represents a Lord attempting to reach the Capital City of the Empire in order to take over the Emperor throne. On the road to the Capital, many perils lie ahead and the Lords will have to sacrifice their own citizens to overcome them. But when they'll reach the heart of the Empire at last, will they have enough people left to face the Emperor's army?
We made this boardgame in 72 hours during Ludum Dare #43 Jam contest. It features 45 cards with original illustration, a Game Board, Player Mats and the Rulebook. You can try this single-player-mode or with a bunch of friends (up to 5 players) by having fun stealing their resources and fighting them back over the conquest of the Empire!

The only question I've got: how to score 15? Isn't it impossible on 2 dice?
I would be interested how you balanced the different cards and the values for the different effects?
Is there a system behind it, or how did you came up with them?
A+ from my side. I will show the game to my boardgame group and take it for a spin.
Good work! :)
Balancing the cards was mostly a trial-and-error process. At first we put some basic ideas on 10-15 cards, then we polished them by play-testing the game. We gave different values to resources (1 citizen = 1.5 coins more or less) and we combined them together trying to create different effects. We've also set up Event Cards to be easy, medium, hard and Capital Cards to be very hard. Then we tried the game multiple times and everytime we changed numbers and options until we reached a somewhat solid balance of all things. I have a feeling that certain values are still a bit off, but we did our best with just 72 hours.
Let us know what do you think of the game if you give it a roll!
