Seed. by AVAVT

It takes thousands of years for a jungle to grow, and it could thrive on its own for millennia.
But for us human, the wood is a valuable material.
Their life is our currency...

The music was also good fit with the game, the graphics was good and the controls was intuitive, click -> click.
Great work, I think I started off too slow, taking my time to find the closest to the edge when I should have been spamming those trees as much as I could.
Keyboard shortcuts for the trees would make my forest a much more impressive place.

Did you got that heroic title? We now work on cycle replay and keep fighting for planteria even we only have 1/14 million changes to surrvie!
In the progression, it started very flow but the i got many tree types rapidly, with little time to read. Maybe you could introduce new tree types with an event popup and explain them there while pausing? Keyboard shortcuts would be amazing for this - if you implement them, i'll try again :D
Really good game, it's also cool to watch the little guys go to work :D
ah, had to try one more time anyway, made it to 4400 :D
Nice. :)
Really interesting how the modernized humans still always keep a row of flowers outside their colonies.
The music perfectly accompanies the atmosphere of the game. In the beginning it is very reassuring to watch the trees grow until you panic and want to protect nature from humans. Unfortunately I didn't succeed, but it is so much fun to watch the hustle and bustle that I like to try it again and again. :)
I made it to 4700AD :)
Makes some1 think about the poor forests these days. A winning condition would be nice, like if you grow like 95% of the map you win the fight against the evil humanity.
But anyway really awesome game you get addicted to this planting very fast.
Keep it up!
Probably one of the best games I have tried in this ludum dare, congratulations.
* keyboards shortcuts for selecting seeds
Damn humans camping in wait to cut down my beautiful forest...
Great entry! Very good job!
We already have a winning condition but we will consider your idea.
And for comments about keybinds shortcut to growing tree faster. Thank you all for your comments when you guys put some little time to write it down. We have the same question about that function. But in the end, we decide to keep it simple because the system is not huge enough to deal with.
Also, the RealNature don't have any shortcut to growing faster, right?
Incredible entry, really liked it.
all hail, the king of the jungle!
amazing game :D
One thing I would change is pause the game when you unlock a new plant, so that you can read the description without losing time to plant.
They just completely cut me down. :(
good entry, great job!

other then that though? the graphics are awesome, the idea is great, i like the animations, it's all really good! good job
but honestly, I absolutely loved the idea of the game. good animations, good audio. it gets the point across and makes the player resent the humans. this game is a good advocate for spreading the environmental issue.
hey, it's making me play it again :) so you've done something right there!
...And then humans arrive, you realise why every tree has a purpose and the game just becomes amazing. It has a strategic layer I really enjoy as a generally mechanics-oriented player, but what I loved the most was the connection you develop with the forest, how you really get to feel the need to protect it from humans, to plant faster and better than they can develop tech to mindlessly cut everything down (or rather than mindlessly, for greed).
It sure rings a bell, doesn't it? :/
This game reaches what any jam game should strive for, it feels wholesome in all areas. If I could point at any improvements...I don't know, perhaps it would be nice to have a bit more variation on the music as the ages pass, but I don't even mind the repetition right now; it feels relaxing and melancholic enough for me to keep listening.
Impressive work, congrats!!
PS: Looking at the screenshots of other players with their lush jungles I'm even more depressed now
amazing
I really like this game, it's unique! Really good job.

Great game, great art, great music, great mood <3
Would play it again if you were to update it later !
