You must sacrifice parts of yourself in order to gain MP, and fight monsters. But be careful. The more you sacrifice, the more abilities you will lose.

Can you climb to the top of the Tower of Gray and become the new Magic King?

My group and yours had the same idea!

super cool. On my first run I didn't talk to the helpful fella and exchanged my legs! What a mistake, haha.

I love the humor at the beginning, the graphics are gorgeous and the old school dungeon crawler style works pretty well. Thanks for this play time!

Great mechanic! I love the way sacrificing different body parts changes the way the game plays, like losing your hearing by removing your ears.

The intro was hilarious and had me actually laugh out loud. Great user interface too. Reminds me of old PC games from the 90s in which the UI took up like half the screen.

A very enjoyable game indeed!

Funny intro and intresting mechanic. Nice artwork too! I like the detail with the fingers.

Great game, I love how many little details there are. The risk reward system as a whole was great, but it was also interesting how combinations could have negative consequences, like losing both my hands made it so I couldn't open a chest. I also loved how selling both ears made the game silent.

I really liked the effects of sacrificing different body parts, specifically your eyes and legs. I was a little confused by the tutorial guy since his wording made me think I could get mana other ways. Also, the character movement felt a little slow to me, and aiming magic spells was a little hard (it would be super cool if magic locked on to enemies). I agree with static ddq that the idea and graphics are really good! Also, the opening was great and made me laugh.

A very interesting concept, I must say! :) And by interesting I mean that I really like it. One small thing that I did not understand was what were those gold things, but maybe I did not complete enough of the game to understand. Other than that, I really, really liked your game! It reminds me of a game called Pixel Dungeon, which I guess you know?

Also, I call it: this game will be at least in top 50 overall, if not top 10. It simply has everything.

Solid entry! I really liked the intro and the humor in general.

The graphics are great. I've tried doing pixel art too but it was just too hard an time consuming - especially the animations.

Your game fits in perfectly with the theme. Something that we couldn't achieve with our game :D

That intro sequence was amazing for an LD game. Also this is hilarious, couldn't make it far, but before I quit the game I sacrificed a bunch of other parts to see what happens. I gotta say losing my ears and eyes was hilarious. Really well executed!
PS: The core idea of my game was kinda similar, though it's spaceship parts not body parts, check it out if you want :)

The sacrifice mechanic is well thought but some sacrifices are less fun than others (legs esp.)
Art and Music are so nice !
Fun one

After I sacrificed my ears, I couldn't hear the music even after dying. I had to reload the game after sacrificing both my eyes too. I really like the idea and the game, I hope I can become the best idiot one day!

@luca1152

Thanks so much! The gold things... well, uh... you can collect them! And hear a rewarding sound every time you do that! (I had to cut the features surrounding the gold thingies due to not having enough time :D)

Ah yes, Pixel Dungeon, upon googling it, I remembered I have played it briefly some time ago. If I were to make this a full game, I'd go for that same random dungeon floor generation and items as well (that was originally the plan here, but I had to cut that as well, and just settle for static content).

@recyx

Thanks! :)
Don't give up on your pixel arts! If you practice enough, you can learn anything :)

@nanda

Thanks! :D There's also an easter egg (if I can call it that), but I'm not sure if it's going to register on everyone's computers, when you sacrifice only one ear, the audio switches to either the left or the right speaker only :)

Cool, I'll check your game out as well! :)

This entry is great in every aspect. From the sacrifice/reward system, to their consequences in the gameplay. My favorite one so far.

I love this! I only got to 2F, because I lost my legs and ended up being really slow...

I absolutely love your overall theme and humor! The starting sequence cracked me up and the wobbly, legless dude made me chuckle a lot. The Gameplay is also very fun but i would like to have more feedback on the Dmg i did to the monsters. Great entry!

Loved the presentation and concept for this game! Unique gameplay, only suggestion would be to allow keybindings for attack to make things a bit smoother

### Amazing game, I absolutely loved it.
The music was best so far from what I've heard on jam. Art is excellent and I was really surprised to see that you did separate sprites for sacrificed limbs. That's a lot of hard work!

Few things I've noted that you could change to make game even more better:
- Stunned enemies still damage player on touch. That killed me in my miserable attempts to do pacific run.
- After some time, I've lost all sounds. I think it happened after i sacrificed my head, after restart I couldn't hear anything.

Great entry, good luck with it!
