Its very moody and the graphics look good. But the wolves were kinda bugged and behaveed very "stupid" to a point where they dont do anything and when you lock the cursor, which is technically a good thing, also set the visibilty to false. Otherwise its just strange. The controls felt smooth

The atmosphere and the graphics were great! It looks really nice. However a few things cropped up as a problem and some things kinda ruined the experience.
1. The character keeps moving after you let go of the forward button for a few steps
2. The mouse pointer isn't hidden, it's stuck on the centre spot
3. There is no dead bodies to harvest, I must have gone around the map multiple times
4. Despite having ammo, I couldn't attack the werewolf (the only one) and there was no tutorial on how to attack.
5. The atmosphere would really benefit from some highly reverbed footsteps, maybe some heavy breathing (to instil a bit of panic) and some atmospheric music to build the tension.

So yeah, could be good, but the fundamental parts of your game are missing, it would be nice to see this once you have them implemented! Good work!

It can be seen that you spent a lot of time on 3D models and lighting. Therefore, the game has a great atmosphere.

Nice atmosphere, reminds of me of an early 2000s survival horror game, but can't remember its name.

It's an impressive game for a short game jam. Nice graphics and audio. Nice use of lighting.
Despite the instructions, on my first playthrough it wasn't obvious to me how to collect the blood. I pressed e to interact but nothing seemed to happen.

This was a very fun game to play but theres a few minor hiccups.

- The sword is overpowered compared to the arrow launcher. The reach on the sword is amazing compared to it's length.
- I managed to get into the shop somehow (not a biggy)
- In the start, the tutorial font was hard to read because of the spacing between the letters.

On the other hand the choice of lighting, colours, audio creates a sense of dread and an immersive experience.

How did you manage to create all of those assets?? The atmosphere is good, only issue is that it is hard to see when the enemy attacks you, so melee combat is kind of hard. Other than that I really enjoyed it. Good job!

Melee weapon is hard to use for me. I find the attack rate a bit low as well but overall a good game ! Graphics are quite good, the lighting sets the proper mood to get killing, well done !

The game is really good with the mood ( lacks a bit of music though ) the graphics and especialy the werewolf IA and moves, I really thought they were great. But the gameplay lacks feedback. It's hard to see if you touche an enemy, its hard to find directions, but otherwise very good entry in my opinion. ( also really impressed by the graphics )

Damn, I also had an idea to make a Bloodborne inspired game! Nicely done survival-horror. Despite the game having no ambient sound or music, it manages to create suspenseful atmosphere with its tight corridors and lots of dark corners. I really loved that. I would suggest adding more dark corridors and a lamp for a left hand item to build up the suspense even more.

I have a minor complaint though. I think you should make shopping area a safe zone, where you can stay and relax, without getting swarmed by wolves. But other than that I was pretty pleased with the experience.

The camera movement is kinda bad, which makes it pretty scare when all of sudden there is this giant werewolf in front of you. A tried firing the crossbow, but it didn't work eventhough I had 10 ammo. I am not sure how you are suppose to switch between the weapons that you have picked up. I thought that the weapon would be dropped on the floor, but I didn't see it. There was also some lag (maybe just my laptop), which probably made the camera movement worse. It's impressive that you made the art in 72 hours.

**THE GOOD**
I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the level design. The amount of work put into the animations, models and textures was superb. The mood was set from the start and did not disappoint, kept me on my toes. I enjoyed the variety of weapons.

**NEEDS WORK**
Audio felt half-complete. With a simple ambiance track in the background (howling wind, rain or whatever) almost feels necessary to create an eerie feeling in a game like this. There were some bugs with the weapons that required me to switch a few times.

Overall, very well done for a jam. Lighting was fantastic and the core game loop was fun.

@mika-la-grand Thanks for the review! Well, the game is intentionally scary:) You can switch between weapons with the standard scroll, or with the number keys, similarly to most fps games. Weapons don't drop on the floor, I am not sure what you mean. Regarding the crossbow not firing, that might be a bug on our part, or perhaps the weapon was still reloading.

What you can improve:
* add a little music for the mood
* fix sfx when you want to buy ammos but you don't have gold, it has the sounds of buying something
* fix some typo (tipps)
* fix weapons management, sometimes the weapons are in hand at the same time
* be careful with randomizing audio on sword attacks, sometimes when I do an attack on nothing is the same sound that I touched enemy, so I don't know when the feedback is correct
* add more time between spawn
* make the shop corridor as a sanctuary, like that no monsters can enter
* explain why it's important to upgrade the crossbow and add a cap on it, by the way why can't we upgrade the sword?
* upscale the hitbox for the taking the blood from enemy
* add a victory condition after passed all the waves, it seems blocks to a wave with 11 enemies

It's a scary environment that got me a few times. I think some more noises like footsteps and weather could have easily made it much more intense. I did encounter a bug where the crossbow sometimes wouldn't shoot. There is an archway way the werewolves wouldn't pathfind through and they would sometimes jump through walls. I liked the map design with the tight hallways and lighting. Overall, good job.

An FPS for Ludem Dare, well done!

* The camera moved a little to quick for me, which meant I could only play it for a bit before it started to make me feel a little sick.
* Some BG music might be nice, I do like the silence, but some subtle soundtrack would still add to the ambience
* I couldn't figure out how to collect blood initially, it seems pretty touchy
* My weapons were overlayed on top of each other, which seemed like a bug

Still, very impressive!

Great work on the environment! I was sure I was going to get spooked when looking around for that first werewolf. The top 3 things I would consider adding, some of which have already been said in other comments:
- A sanctuary / safe zone when buying stuff.
- Atmospheric sound or music.
- The werewolves should try to hunt you down more aggressively. I felt they only attacked me at the shop haha. When I was actually in the town it took me a bit to actually find them.

Wow the atmosphere in this game is great! The labyrinth of houses with the moody lighting is amazing, really sells the spooky tone. I like the fact that you have to sacrifice health for upgrades but I felt like they weren't decent enough upgrades to get me through the rounds which ramp up fast. Also you run out of ammo pretty fast and using the sword seems to be a direct trade off for health. Overall though really enjoyable, great jam!

It is a really high bet to make a good horror game and i admire that. You are like me who tries to make a great complete experience but sometimes lacks the time to finish the project as it was intended.

Well i personally had an uneasy feeling while playing the game and thus can say that the game was a success in terms of spookiness but as others said, the music and some footsteps would make the game feel more complete and polished.

brrrr, I don't like horror games! I went into the castle, but ran right out and closed the game as soon as I saw the first warewolf! :runner_tone3::runner_tone3::runner_tone3::runner_tone3:

Really enjoyed this game! The graphics were awesome and I liked the map design with the colors because they give the player a sense of navigation in the world. The shop was not explained in the beginning and it was really hard find out what it does during the game due to stress. Otherwise nice game!

This game is great! The overall atmosphere is awesome, as soon as you walk into the town you get an unsettling feeling, good job! the werewolves look creepy, the color themed areas are very cool and helpful for orientation! With visualization of some gameplay progression (like showing werewolf kills or maybe the amount of survived waves) it would feel more like the player is achieving something and improve things! You got a really cool base there, i'd love to see more of that!
