Really fun game, love the humour and light-heartedness of it. Visuals and audio are great, both music and sound effects. I especially love the sound of turning in the snow, it makes turning feel really satisfying. The way the whiskey makes you turn feels really well-crafted and really makes you think twice about picking up another one.

One minor personal peeve: the controls didn't feel intuitive at first. I kept wanting to use a to turn my character left (as opposed to actually turning left on the screen) and d to turn him right. Nothing inherently wrong with them.

Good game. The control scheme is difficult overall. Would be good to start on the other side of an obstacle when you get knocked out. Other that those two things perfect game.

That's pretty funny! I found myself thinking similarly to some of the other players about turning. I struggled to get the hang of the controls. I liked the art style a lot! I would love to see an updated version of this!

Thanks for the feedback so far! I agree about the turning controls not feeling intuitive, I had originally planned to have an option to flip them, unfortunately over the weekend I grew used to them and forgot about it. Doh! The best I can offer at the moment is that in the downloadable versions, you can change the controls in the configuration menu at launch.

That's a good game for theme! I also agree with the controls, and also it felt like the slalom scoring was backwards. Don't you have to go outside the flags?? Anyway, that confused me. Nice job, though!

Not a drinker myself, is that how it feels when you're drunk? Well, the game is pretty simple to understand and very hard to master haha
But overall I had fun with it and liked a lot. The only thing that bothered me is that after you hit an obstacle, you respawn too close to it, just to hit it again (many times in the first try).

Brutally difficult game, got so difficult after a couple of whiskeys.

Looks really nice and the audio works really well. Nailed the swooshing. Quite challenging, but I like that. But if you hit an obstacle it seems you sometimes cant avoid hitting it again and if you in the forest and hit one, lose all your speed it's abit annoying trying to get out. Overall I like you game a lot!

This was fun to play. The controls are bit hard, even before drinking any whiskey.

Really cool game.
I like the menu you made, it allows to to get in the mood of the game.
Controls are a bit hard and sometimes I couldn't tell if my character was going backward or foreward

Outstanding and hilarious; this put a silly grin on my face and made me urgently need to go snowboarding (though probably saving the liquor for afterwards). Loved the music, the way the controls get plausibly worse and worse as you get "drunker", and the ridiculous, glorious "WOO"s. Amazing job - probably the best game I've played from this jam so far.

Woo! Really fun, and the impairment is very effective! SFX are very fun. Only problem is that when you hit something you usually respawn right behind it again and it is hard to avoid.

Fun concept and like the graphics, fun to play, but a bit hard to control (even before too much whiski)

Great work! Love the sendoff from that old ski game. I wish the drunkard would have done insane tricks or something instead of just giving a score multiplier. I also would have preferred that the steering be relative to the character rather than the screen – that confused me the whole time.

Nice homage. Funny how the level ends right before the yeti grabs you and you can let him drag you off into the abyss.

The music and sounds were great. This is one of the first games I've played that actually scores for humor. I found the re-spawns a little frustrating on the harder levels but the the easy level was quite fun. Well done!

LOL this game is kinda making me sick. I got 1200 on the beginner slope... WOO. The physics in this game are really funny and having a variety of ways to score makes it even better. If I could change one thing I'd make the left-right control less sensitive because I found myself turned around backwards a lot, and because of the player design and scale, I had a hard time telling which way was the front. Though that kinda makes sense considering the context of drunk skiing. Nice sound design too.

Super-fun game! :D

It takes a while to get used to the steering mechanics (I kept mentally reversing steering directions to match the "forward"), but I managed to get to 5100 points before the yeti got me :sob:

Once you hit a collider you need to pay a lot of attention to plan the steering direction you want to go as soon as you recover, or it gets stuck relatively easily. I once managed to hit a tree that was just in front of another and I spent a while trying to get out of there, which detracted a bit from the fun. Maybe disabling the collisions against that obstacle could help.

Graphics were nice, and the sounds were funny. The music loop was catchy, but it got a bit repetitive in the end.

+1 to the insane drunken tricks suggestion! Congrats, I really liked this entry! :D

Perfect use of the theme. Really interesting concept but I had a lot of trouble with the controls. Also, I ended up getting stuck in places, most notably the start screen. I missed the beginner slope and got stuck on the rock until it eventually pushed me over enough to go to the intermediate level. The ending is great. Could be a lot of fun with a bit more time to polish the controls and graphics. Overall, great job!

Ok top points for audio, just because I heard myself imitating all the vocalizations when I hit stuff (which I did a lot of). Also humor. But seriously, this was fun! I think I managed to ski most of the beginner course unknowingly backward (before drinking), but after getting a handle on the controls, this is a solid game.

No bugs or anything major to complain of, everything felt smooth and well done. Also, this is the second submission which featured alcohol, I find it interesting that the theme made people think of drink, ha but Great Job!

Fun and funny, the voiced sound effects were a great touch.

The way you were set back onto the track after hitting an obstacle was a bit annoying, it pretty much always placed me such that I would hit the obstacle again immediately.

Nice work! Trying to ski while drunk was pretty amusing. I did notice that crashes into obstacles tended to "chain" because you would reappear right above the obstacle and it was hard to avoid it again, but other than that it was pretty good!
