Maybe have the spaceship always accelerate forward according to where it is looking instead of being able to reverse with the ship. And the background was a bit boring when you could see that it actually was tiles of a couple stars next to each other. Either make bigger tiles or make some variation and have them placed randomly. The game feels a little bit slow, likely due to the large area and few enemies. Maybe the game could take place on a single screen? That would bring the player into closer contact with the enemies, making the shield recharging more tense.\n\nOther than that, some background variation and power-ups \/ enemy types would add a lot of interest.\n\nAnother issue is the tutorial only showing once. I accidentally clicked past it before reading it, and was not able to see it again.
