Crystal Menace by hunttis
Crystal Menace
The crystals have awoken and all you have are some crummy towers!
Link your water-powered plants with hubs and beam towers to push back the crystal menace!

In the web build, sounds work with Chrome (and possibly other browsers that support .ogg-format).
Made with (love and) Haxe Flixel, Visual Studio Code, Pixaki (on the iPad), soundfx made with ChipTone.
I hope you like it!

edit: I just played the html version and its a bit different. I'm still playing in fact. I think its a combination of tower defense with "Perimeter" and thats an idea I always wanted to explore. So thank you for this.
I didn't see any way to delete towers, and R restarted the entire game, not just that level
Also ran out of memory while playing, so there may be a memory leak somewhere, but it could also just have been a coincidence.
The only change between the builds is just how I clean up my particle effects. I used to do it in a way that kills one dead effect per tick (60 per second), and usually that's enough, but this game makes so much beam effects that it wasn't enough :D
Thanks for playing and sorry for the crash :)
Got a crash in the web build on Win10 using FireFox 54.0.1.
@FurkanFS The missing currency-system was a painful realization at the end, but couldn't put a bad one in. Rather wanted to let the player play around and build stuff (destroying the nest isn't that easy, even with unlimited building).
As far as the game itself, I think the levels and objects were well designed, ignoring the obvious current/resource issue. I like the design of the buildings a lot, and it was easy to understand how everything worked. I think given the connectivity mechanics, it'd be useful to have an indicator of the other building's connection radius as well, particularly when you're linking the distributors up to generators; I kept missing them by one tile because I'm bad at remembering.
Solid entry overall, good job.
I didn't get any audio. I am on Linux and Firefox.
