I enjoy the pixelated graphics, but for the groun, try and import a grass texture. This would make the ground more realistic in the fantacy enviroment.

Maybe add a tutorial explaining the game system, because I still don't exactly understand if there is a bonus to attacking the ennemies ^^
I really liked the art style (but you should change the grass tile as said in another comment)
For the rest the concept is great, and a post-jam version could be really nice :D

Really like the idea, art and gameplay of it. The easy to understand gameplay elements make this a really addicting and fun to play game. Keep up the good work :D

Well I really enjoyed this game :) However, after some time, I couldnt find any enemy, so I had to end it and play again.

Simple but addictive concept. Really hard, i don't have time to create an army...
Good job

Cool game, although extremely hard to control with a trackpad. Found that it was quite hard, but the concept of summoning minions to defend your self was really cool. The art was also really cutsey!

Simplistic, and yet still quite fun— the little spritework is nice as well! I had a good time playing with it. I find the player character has a habit of getting stuck colliding on the edges of enemies, making it often nearly impossible to escape if you're touched.

Really fun, I just wish I could play without the right mouse button. This is slightly unlike the RTS controls I know. Otherwise, great use of the theme and many interesting choices.

This game is pretty fun and interesting. I had some difficultie on my first 3/4 games, getting killed. But running away from enemy first, spawning a big army and coming back to fight seem to be a good way to play  . However I miss some more sound feedback, or background music.

This is great! I got 26,000 - it feels fun to swarm mobs

This game feels super satisfying. The controls were really easy, and thats a (really) good thing. The game was easy to understand and play. But that did not make the gameplay itself easy or boring. Really well done overall!

@roilbauk Glad you had fun playing my game, but weird, there is sound feedback in the game. Maybe turn up you volume

Love the idea and the execution is pretty great! Very hard to control though. Also I'm not really sure if other units have their functionality added yet, as in my playthroughs they died pretty quickly without doing anything. All in all, great little game! Just needs a bit more polish to make it more comfortable to play. Also maybe it would be easier if the necromancer would be controlled with WASD as it is very hard to micromanage both him and the army. Just a suggestion though.

I really like the concept of this game! Not really to much bad I could say about it except I can't ever get past the first wave.

The controls are easy to understand.
Beautiful game ! :ok_hand:

Really cool concept. One thing that could help would be invert the controls. Popular games like Mobas and RTS usually use the Left to select and the right to command, is natural for most people to get it quick.

I like the unit graphics and the concept. Though I really dont get the gameplay.

The only way I found to make progress is to run away and spawn units while recharging health which then would attack the enemies that were following. Killing enemies seems to regenerate health but since your health is capped you still need to constantly spawn minions, which get easily demolished by any enemy.

Are certain mobs stronger against certain enemies? Or is there something else I missed?

@taddl you should try to avoid bigger armies in the beginning. If you see archers, rush them, otherwise let the enemies get a bit closer. At some point you army will be big enough and you can take out bigger armies without loosing to many troops.

An interesting concept and fun gameplay, although I found the controls to be counter intuitive at first as usually in strategy games you expect left mouse button to select the units and right to move them, I needed some time to adjust to them.

Aside from the obvious mouse switch input problem, very great game, i found that the best strategy was to idle and spam units.

this was a fun experience well done. good use of the theme using your life power to summon them, minions, good sound effect, a soundtrack could have added more to the game mood tho. having a web version is also great ^^. the art looks nice, the movement feels smooth except when you another enemy touch you( i assumed its a slow effect xD). the only problem I found was that sometimes you can die from creating unites(if this by design ignores this, however, it seemed weird since u can't click the UI when u don't have an extra half heart). didn't find the exact action that causes this but in all cases, I was clicking on a zombie -2 UI

cute art and reminds of those .io type multiplayer army massing games, would be fun to see this multiplayer with more mechanics

I really like this game. I got a lot of fun in the process of playing this game.
It was hard to play at first, but after some time of playing, I found the right strategy. So this interesting, challenging game.

Thanks for mood and your hard work :)

I loved it! Tons of fun amassing a giant army. I only have one complaint - I had an painful time trying to adjust to the controls :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: they're basically the exact opposite of RTS controls, so I frequently found myself misclicking.

Very cute graphics and idea - sadly I have to admit I didn't understand how to play it at all
I think you need more of an explantion before the actual game starts.
Do I have to click on the card, or..?
(I got then that this summons one necromancer, but then I couldnt seem to make new ones by attacking the crowds, rather they always overwhelmed me)
I also couldn't draw a marquee rectangle over the troops like shown in your gif..?
I have at best 8 soldiers and then some crowd of 10 people approaches me, everyone dies, always?
others said avoid large armies, but how, the necromancer can't move..?
Maybe I'm just too dumb, but could some explain the controls and game to me a bit, as I really liked the idea and graphics and would like to give it a decent shot :)

@angiemon Use your right mouse button to select units. I know it's a bit confusing, because normally you select stuff this your left mouse button.

@jorbits Thanks, I did that before, or maybe I just think I did, because now I managed it!
However the rest of the game still is a mystery to me, as after max 10 second 5 troups with 8-15 people each attack me? And I can't move?

@angiemon While your necromancer is not being attack he should be able to move, the same way you move your units.

Very good game! Nice art! I played this so long... my tea is now cold ;C

Some art for environment and it will be perfect!

Awesome graphics and good idea. Matches the theme very well.

I find it kinda hard to survive though, maybe the costs have to be adjusted. Or you could make an upgrade shop where you can buy new minions, upgrade their stats and/or give your necro some passive skills (eg damage over time, ...). But I think you had many ideas yourself :D

The controls didnt feel very intuitive, I had to read the comments to understand the way how you select stuff.

All in all, a well executed theme based game

Ohh gotcha! Managed it now to play for a bit, it was really fun and I enjoyed the cute graphics :D
Big improvement would probably be to add more explanation and dont leave players to figure stuff out for themselfes, you know how impatient and dumb gamers are ;P
Overall a good job! Rated :)

I didn't understand this one too much. I would create some units and they would get killed and then I would in a matter of seconds. Also you should add your instructions to your itch.io for people finding your game there before here.
